my old phone was so ancient it still needed string to make a connection. mamoru.gif

i'll see if I can hook the phone up to the house's wifi tomorrow - the phones on the charger atm.

plus I need to pace myself, learning new skills is tiring. tongue.gif

Turn on wifi on phone, search for available networks , yours will show up, enter security password, and pair, that's it.

Wolfy - this should clear it up... its the measurement of the bolt holes on the wheel

5 = number of bolts
112 = diameter in mm as indicated below

I guess Wolfie, it is not the country of Australia that causes your angst, it is more the management and directional path that it appears to be on.

I am by no means any financial guru, but I do associate with some CFO's of large companies and I still cannot understand the way a simple thing like money can be made so complicated. I am more interested in finite and tangible assets, yet they can quiet happily go into valuations, projections, derivatives, people can just be relegated to common asset classes with no true understanding of the value they are to a company, they are just a liability in the Harvardian Keynesian drones eyes.

The rot has set in with more and more upper middle bogans in management feeling the need to take more and more, no real growth now or in the future, just shareholder returns, with the shareholders not realising the eroding the value of the company, like cooking the golden goose, Nokia is the classic example, I'll take a stab Apple is on the slippery slope as well.

I think it is going to take some strong leadership to be able to use Australias mining wealth to create a brighter future as our children cannot be thought of as just servant for the chinese and indians, as this is the path we are on.

The cost of living rises are just getting beyond a joke for the average Australian, I can only count myself lucky that I am a bit removed from, food, water and energy needs, but I still get robbed by insurance and taxes. It is hard to explain to prev generations how simple it was and the financial needs were a lot less, but if you wanted to get ahead, you could, nowdays, I don't really see that

This guy, just smashed it out the park. I just turned 30 not that long ago and am still living at home. I'm a skilled professional earning 6 figures trying to get ahead but the goal posts just keep on moving further away. I see no reason to stay in Australia as a single professional male, when regular retards earn the same money as me in an entry position driving a truck in the mines and bump up the real estate market with bullshit inflated prices there is hardly any incentive.

Don't get me started on the quickly eroding rights, ever growing trivial laws, and sky high taxes and cost of living.

This was the lucky country. Now it's run by idiots for idiots. Time to unsubscribe.

I count myself very lucky that I have been at the end of what I considered the easy times, worked hard, got to play hard, travel have fun cars and cheap times out, but I don't see that future for people in your age group and it makes me sad that the opportunites are not there.

In 1985 when I started an apprenticeship, $96 week ,other mates laughing as they got their $250 as labourers etc, then I went to $190 the next year and so on, my goal was to be on the magical $1000 per week ( it was at the time), I lived at home but was away with work most of the time, by 1990 I could bank and invest 75% of my income, a lot of mates were the same, we could buy investment houses, shares and still have a simple good time.

By then the labourer/nong class were grumbling, they just could not see why those who had studied in trade or Uni should get paid so much more, so now we have the situation where due to "equality" we have Nigel Nosepicker on a forklift getting $26 per hour, yet a research scientist etc getting less. I just cannot see this as sustainable, esp with the mining boom economy aligning itself for an adjustment in 2015.

You would fn scream at the Centrelink clusterfks and the money some of them get, here is a scenario I know of, grandma deadshit looks after grandaughter as her daughter is banged up in prison, drugs etc, so she gets multiple allowances and rent assist to the tune of $700 per week, low and behold the fear sets in daughter at school age, maybe has to work, oh no. But wait Daughter smacks out another sprog, poor kid is blind and disabled, Grandma deadshit hit jackpot, they move to bigger house with pool etc on canal as she is going to be on $980 per week, so that should make you feel taxes are going well. Oh and to make it better 2 deashit relos have state gov housing they move in with her and sub let houses, they laugh the whole way, makes my blood boil.

But as for Australia, the elephant in the room is Superannuation, from what I have read, 2024-2026 will be when the current inflows won't match the outflows as retirees demand for cashflow increases and many assets in super will need to be sold off to do this, once again I will maybe just scrape in to unload a lot of stuff and transfer to a SMSF that suits my goals, but MANY genuine hard working Australians are going to be robbed.

So I don't know your profession, but I feel your pain, the OS option looks good and maybe land back 2026 cashed up and buy a place at fire sale prices, or maybe by then the Centrelink Class with be getting houses for free.

Not the first to say it by any means, but not gonna happen. Already a hassle to get around town, into/out of driveways. Also I don't know whether or not the adaptive suspension creates trouble with lowering.
On another note:
Ordered new rear tyres. That will be 1100 a pop please.
Currently trying to work out how to fit a race battery.

Veeks,
To your point, we actually ended up spending the last day looking at property in Tokyo!
