Just out of interest, would there be anything to be gained with different air filters, I would of thought Audi, esp the R8, would have the optimum filters. But if it is a new airbox I get it.

Surprisingly, quite a lot actually. As absurd as it sounds, there is a guy who did a back to back dyno with the change... And got a 13hp increase. Sounds crazy I know...
The stock ones are actually pretty crappy.

13hp, I'm surprised, the standard ones must have some uber filtration standard. But those ones do look pretty damn nice.
We tested my BA xr6 at a test and tune, air filter in and out and a K&N, 16 runs, I think inconclusive, same terminal speed, indicating no power difference

They usually claim around 3hp, which you wouldn't observe in the 1/4. I don't believe manufacturer claims on this sort of thing. Intrigued by this user dyno though. The ones on there now have an extra sock looking thing around them that can't help.

Just put a deposit on my new rig! Pick it up saturday.
1HZ diesel with safari turbo kit and 3 inch exhaust. Other then that she's pretty much stock!

Yes I should, but never owned on fully, went halves in a bigtank E38 for a basher once, running gear went into a centura, then a Pacer, stuffed if I know where that went, I went overseas, carbies went on the XU1

Yeah i know, stranger things have happened is all. Im the kind of guy who wont be settled about it until its done and in my driveway.

Picked it up for 46K Like i said Alpine white, MY08, M Sport, 50K kms on the clock, very happy as its next to impossible to pick an M sport with 50K on the clock for less than 50-53K. Certainly alot of car for the money, only thing im dissapointed in is the black interior, its not exactly awe inspiring inside when they are black leather, really need that beige trim, still awesome regardless.

Yeah i had serious help from a personal friend who has sold cars in the industry and managed for various dealerships to get the price that low, so i wasn't without help, he was guiding my hand throughout the negotiations, i felt pretty sorry for the salesman, he had no idea who he was f'king with lol so that certainly helped with price.

Of course, thats a given. Everyone knows when you trade a car you get stuff all compared to what you could get selling privately. All im saying is the price was pushed as far as it could be, and the salesman had a rough week dealing with the various mindfcukery and smoke and mirrors. Im just saying and so are the others that i got it at a very good price point.

Just picked up a Point and Shoot for my Europe trip next week.. Im Gone for nearly 5 weeks and couldnt be arsed dragging my DSLR around that whole time..

Got a Panasonic Lumix TZ40, with a Lowepro hard Shell case and 2 more 16GB Class 10 SD Cards...

Also Purchased some Zamberland Hiking Shoes and a Columbia Jacket for the Trip...
