So your saying a stainless steel 3" turbo back exhaust and larger fmic arent performance mods? I know its not much but the stock soarer exhaust is a huge restrictor which obviously has now been replaced. Motor is solid and in excellent condition. Doesnt use oil doesnt leak doesnt smoke its great. Id like to dyno it and see how much its putting out. Does anyone know anywhere good in western sydney to get a dyno tune?

Soarers make over 206kw standard anyway. A 'gentleman's agreement' at the time in Japan meant a lot of cars had exactly 206kw, or so they were quoted as having. Like OP said the exhaust is a huge restriction on these cars and I can attest to having driven my old one stock one day and a full exhaust + cooler the next and the difference was amazing to say the least.

that 206 figure is also at the crank and not at the wheels. with the 1/2j's you can easily pick up a couple of psi boost jsut buy putting an exhaust and fmic without the aid of a boost controller. wheels, badge on dash and floor mats are aids but the car is neat, has potential.

Yeah it has good potential. The body is very very straight and the paint is A1. I agree with the badge and mats. I bought it not even a week ago and its how i got it. I was going to rip the badge off the day i got it but was worried id ruin the dash :/
It has no boost controller and no boost guage at the moment so they will be put in soon but the car is very quick for a boat

With those horrid rims it has to be a Sydney car lol

easy enough to find a replacement glovebox if you do ruin that one taking the badge off. Spruce is probably the most popular interior colour in these.

give the bomex bodykit the flick as well, a little lower, with better wheels and without the sideskirts & rear pods and it will be a whole new car

The problem with those rims, is that you cant even sell them, nobody wants to buy them. May as well spray paint the rims black or something.

Yeah no doubt some wanker will want them, probably for their hilux lol. i've not long moved to nsw from qld and the amount of big chome dinner plate rims on 4x4 and utes here is crazy. Il have no problem selling them. Just need to find a new pair first. Guy i bought it off brought round some parts and receipts last night for it and the rims cost 1900 and tires 580. Could of gotten a wayyyyyyyy better set for that!!
