Hey guys,

This is my 2006 GSX-R1000. I've had it custom painted in Dodge Avenger black with green flake (looks amazing when the light hits the flake) and of course the wheels have been painted fluro green.
Bolt on mods:
  • Full Yoshimura Exhaust System
  • K&N air filter
  • Adjustable shorty levers
  • Bagster GSXR tank cover
  • Yoshimura bar ends
  • Oggy knobs
  • Fender eliminator
  • Tinted double bubble screen

I had custom GSXR/Suzuki/1000 stickers made up the match the wheels which sets the bike off pretty well. Its wicked quick and with its Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2 tyres it lets me get low enough to scrape the knees on most corners. It does 167kmh in first gear and will power wheelie well over 200kmh.
My only plan for the bike is to get a TRE which will open up the throttle response in the first few gears and will also remove the 299kmh speed restriction.

I hope you all like it as much as I do

Not sold on the wheels. You got proof about the 167km/h in first gear as i find it hard to believe with the mods you have.

    Wheels look oem?

These bikes do 167 stock in first gear, I just like saying it because not many bikes can do that. As for the wheels I just contacted Enkei and they said they do make OEM gixxer tho wheels, I thought I was special wink.gif

K5 Gixxer 1000's can do around 155kmh in first so its possible this could do around 160kmh

I love the black body with green feet look. Always have loved bikes, but never really wanted to own and ride one. Due to my epic tallness, back issues and high centre of gravity tongue.gif

    Almost 170 you mean?

The R1 could do roughly 130km/h in first but i don't see the need unless your tracking. Not with the laws nowadays.

Wouldn't be real keen to come off in that Shark suit. Haven't heard many good things about them.
How do you go seeing through the tinted screen, with sunnies on?

No tinted screen Glass?.Clear visor by the looks of it.

One thing that Suzuki failed to do was change the appearance. Looks extremely similar to an 2001 so 12 years with pretty much the same design? oopsie.gif

Nice bike but the wheels are not for me. Reminds me of Kawasaki ninjas which in my case are quite ugly.

I'd be worried if you're looking through it while riding on the street.

I used mine all the time on the road, but that's mostly why I only ride on track now lol.

I haven't used a tinted screen, but I wouldn't think they're real useful in the full tuck position whether its on road or track.

Anyway, it's not a bad looking GSXR.

This looks way different than the 2001 especially from the side n back. Speed out of first is irrelevant, all about who gets to that speed the quickest :b think the zx10s do 150-155 in first gear, nice bike definitely different
