I got 6 tickets to State of Origin game 2, and what an absolute joke the QRL/NRL are. there were only 5000 tickets available to the general public when they went on sale this morning. 5000 out of the 50000 the stadium holds. the rest are reserved for season ticket holders/qrl members/etc to buy. the best available to the public were $175 each! i paid $120 to sit in the 10th row last year. this year that $175 gets you a nosebleed seat behind the goal posts. absolutely ridiculous.

take a look at this pic - the only tickets available to the general public are the light blue ones!



they were sold out in ~2 minutes max. also, if you do want to cough up the $550 for 2 tickets to the maroon membership bit, you can only buy 2 in a row. have a group of 4? tough luck. have to buy 2 sets of 2 and not sit anywhere near each other. i was lucky as all hell to get 6 in a row in the nosebleeds - none of the other 4 people we had trying to get tickets could even get a single ticket.

in conclusion, f#$k you QRL and NRL.
