Sale for the R8 GT I was looking to buy fell through - then this came along. I'm in love!

That could be either a DBS or a V12V...I hope the latter! There's a couple I've had my eye on too.

Sorry to disappoint wolfman101 it's only a DBS :P

They are an awesome car, but IMHO they are just getting a trifle dated looking-especially the ones for sale ATM. The V12V still looks kind of fresh...and is faster too!

It's a brand newy :) was initially looking at the v12 vantage and the new Vanquish... The latter had too long a waiting list and when I saw this particular DBS I just had to have it. In manual too ;)

I wouldn't go manual anyway, but that's just me!

Out of curiousity, what else did you cross-shop? Did you look at the XKR-S?

I hope their pressed and not just printed on reflective. Because if they are printed, and you paid more than about $60 - their too expensive.

Tasplates charge over $1000 for them, such a rip off.

What are you talking about? They cost over 2k here. bowrofl.gif And once you own the combination you can get a new set made up for not that much money.

They're made of perspex with printed reflective letters. To justify prestige plates here they just gotta be under the new asking price of $2395. I paid $750 for mine. Replacements are $400, and I looked into having plates made up in slimline, and they wanted $150 per plate which is only a saving of $100 and is also illegal.

You have to pay to own the combination... and in QLD you have to pay $80 just to transfer a plate into your name.

We have to pay a yearly fee here for personalised plates, and the price depends on the letter/number combination...

Not is Tas it's an outright cost of around $1500ish for fully custom plates and their done the same. Run though a printer and then a cover whacked on it so it looks more expensive. If you get the three letters then three numbers in any combination you want their pressed in to metal plates, and they cost around $300 and no yearly fee. Much better value for money.

Any combination for 3 letter 3 number so if you wanted you could have PL473D if you want for example or like 12BNV5 or some shit like that? In QLD were restricted to 3x2 or limited 3x3 in format aaa.nn and aaa.nnn or the reverse of.
