would be nice with a turbo and nos then go for fastest r6 or at least fastest r46 but its all $$$$ and time so jst keep the ks down for now. chix dig scars and only the good die young And knowing a stock thousand would eat you for breakfast. Not worth the time and money unless you're going to track it,it would be pointless for the hills. |

as for a stock 1000cc eating it for breakfast check out the power to weight difference between the r6 and r1 for 05 modles and maybe have a look at r6s vs r1s in 1/4 mile times. |

Aaron Gobert Yamaha Yamaha YZF-R1 2:16.557 Aaron Gobert Yamaha Yamaha YZF-R6 2:20.580 These are Gobert's qualifying times recently at road america for superstock and supersport. at the end of the day any1 can buy a stock or modified r1 or r6 and watch the price drop (re-sale value) my r46 has gone up $1500 scince i bought it and if rossi died (god forbid) $$$$$$$$$$$ bit like having a commadore or a brock commadore none the less i like my bike and like r1s and many other super sports. dont c y people get there back up over what other people have or have to constantly lay the boot in for no apparent reason. But the average rider on the street won't be able to touch those times. Hell R1's do 9 seconds with a professional rider on board,many/most do 11seconds and compare that to the average rider. 05 R6 - 123HP/68.5NM 161KG Dry 05 R1 - 170HP/104NM 172KG Dry What i was trying to point out that it would be a good investment for the drag strip and most certainly not for hill runs.Sorry but i am far from jealous of you having an R6. |
