Pick up a second hand window unit off ebay, does the job and if you seal around the window with ply it cools a room down nicely. |

Anyone know how to find out if an engine has oversized pistons? I don't have a micromter or calipers and the pistons themselves have very few if any markings..... Anywho's antispam: A new set of vernier calipers because my last set got knicked. Now to try and work out the bore and piston size I need. Where did you purchase a set of vernier calipers from after 5pm on a Friday? |

Good old Repco, nothing beats Repco... Haha nope, not when it's six in the arv and everything else is shut. For a cheapie, the verniers aren't bad. Have fairly good resolution of .0005" or .1mm which isn't half bad I reckon. Got me the sizes I needed, but unfortunately the sizes have now bumped up the price of the bloody rebuild kit Not by much but it's now 500 odd landed from US using iParcel at 112.90. Was thinking of getting quotes for freight forwarding but I have a feeling it won't be any cheaper. Took one of the pistons out and the bearings are looking a bit so so, the pistons themselves and the bore aren't too bad, but the old man wants to put in new pistons blah blah blah. I'm not sure if it needs all that. |

On the way home from work I decide that I would stop on at the car wash and give it a once over as someone is coming to look at it tomorrow, just the other day however I decided to take the cover off leaving my coil packs exposed. Now I usually cover everything up like bag over the pod filter with a zip tie etc, stupid me spare water straight in there. Needless to say the car wouldn't start for an hour and I was in a hurry to gtfo out of there at 11 pm on a Friday night ( fcuking Goodna ) is not the safest, it with a bit of luck eventually started, but is running super ruff and am hoping I haven't caused to much damage, the oil looks ok but is going to be a long night with a hair dryer. Sigh, fingers crossed. |

fcuk me go karting isn't exactly cheap! And you only have what 3 places to choose from. Big Kart track at Landsborough who's track is unimaginative, Kingston Park who is expensive as hell and is typically packed out and then you have the indoor track at Eagle Farm who isn't cheap and only has a 400m track which you wouldn't even hit 40km/hr on. Kinda disappoint. |
