If you do want it purely for music though, just buy a 7th ipod classic. 160gb is like $250ish. |

If you use a note I doubt you'll be able to readjust to an iPhone for anything you'd use a data package for... those screens are kinda small. |

What's wrong with a hard drive based device? All laptops are and they do fine..? |

What's wrong with a hard drive based device? All laptops are and they do fine..? Laptop hard drives are a tad more durable but like all hard drives really don't like shaking or being thrown around much... Last hdd based mp3 player i had was a pain in the ass, longer loading times, skipped if you were moving too much and a solid drop could corrupt a whole album / fcuk it for good. |

Something in my head is setting off bells about iPhone and wifi hotspotting. I don't think you can do it on the Optus network. With Android phones, it simply shares the 3G/H+/4G connection, on an iPhone it sends a request to the service provider or something like that. |

Oh really.. Well that would be shit. Still didn't realise 64gb touches were dropping that much either, enough to hold every single song i own.. But combining it with dataplan for youtube access and hotspotting was like hmm awesome idea brewing. |

I am pretty sure Iphone you can just switch on Hotspot. I had done it a few times with vodafail when I was with them. |

Vodafone, they waived the remaining 9 months of my 3 contract if i agreed to swap. you should be able to unlock it on their website for free. i had a nokia that was still under contract with 3, used voda site to unlock it. |

i have upwards of 100gb of music. I would rather have it all on me all of the time, rather than me trying to decide what I 'might' want to listen to. |

That is amazing! I love a good cover. Sometimes they are better then the actual original. |

Idea potentially worth watching i guess... Although android phone + 64gb card would be cheaper, but then I have to reorganise all my music. No point using my Note for that flattening the primary device is a bad idea when you have no backup batery Nope. Several Android apps will sync your Itunes library. |

Sync it you dweeb..... My music collection consists of hard copy albums now. After my laptop shit itself and having to borrow mum's I juts cbf downloading anything anymore. I just stream it from the net or use radio apps or 8tracks etc Can't be stuffed trying it on a device i have no intention of using for that purpose, probably 90% of mine is off hard copies... |
