I bought this car in August 2010 as a rusted out bogged up stocker. It's a November 1972 KE20 SE model. It had a stock 3k, 1.2 litre and 4 speed gearbox. Two years later and more than a few thousand gold coins and it's on the road. Now sporting a 5k, 1.5 litre from an 1988 Liteace. Here's some specs Engine: ACL gaskets and bearings Oversized 0.020" Nason pistons with molley rings Chev solid lifters Datsun A12 light weight solid pushrods Pro Torque double row timing kit Ported and shaved head, 3 way valve grind Port matched & machined manifold 32/36 Weber Redline adapter plate Redline Sport air cleaner Heat wrapped 4-1 Hurricane extractors 2" exaust straight through with a Supercat 18" muffler GT40 coil, electronic dizzy, Champion leads & Bosch Super plugs Racer water pump 12" thermo fan Driveline, Braked & Suspension: Machined flywheel Exedy HD clutch KE70 5 speed gearbox KE55 tailshaft (shortened) KE55 BW diff and rear drum brakes KE55 Boges shocks 1 1/2" lowering blocks Custom strut brace Shortened KE20 struts Boges VW Golf GTI MK1 short stroke inserts & bump stops Recoiled 55mm King springs KE70 Girlock calipers and rotors Interior has been redone/replaced including dash pad, carpet, seats & roof lining. Totally gorgeous car! AND you did it all in such a short time! Even though I am a woman, I can SO appreciate all the work you put into this classic! My Dad taught me all I know about cars. The oldies ARE the goodies. All that electrical garbage and if it gets hit even by a butterfly it gets dented...Well done! ~~Luna |
