Hi All,

A few regulars would be aware of my silvia build. I bought it as a rolling shell in 2010 from the Sunshine coast. The paintwork, widebody and shave work was already done from the previous owner.

First point was stripping it down to nothing. The engine bay, interior (including loom), boot and all undercarriage were stripped leaving the empty shell. From here I removed all of the factory sound deadening and covered the floor pan, back seats, pillars, roof and boot with Dynamat. Surprisingly for the added benefits of heat protection and sound deadening, it only came at a cost of 30kg for the entire car to be covered.

Second point was stripping the loom, removing wires and plugs that werent needed and re taping loom/running 0 gauge for battery relocation as well as RCA's and wiring for stereo. I wanted to keep the interior as factory as I could as well as maintaining some functionality and having it look good. So I sourced excellent condition 2nd hand 180sx Type x Interior. This includes carpet mould (Has a nice dark grey colour instead of poo brown or aqua like normal s13's) Glove box, rear seats, door cards and roof lining.
I had previous grey interior plastics from my old s13 which completed the interior. For seats I sourced a set of second hand early 2000's reclinable brides which set off the interior.

With regards to the suspension, I removed the front crossmember and rear cradle. I removed all of the HICAS lines and swapped it for a non HICAS cradle. When reconditioning the cradle, I used Powered by Max sold subframe risers and ditched the rubber ones. This allows better geometry for lowered cars. All rubber has been eliminated from the suspenion with the exception of poly urethane in the sway bar bushes and the knuckle bushes which are all brand new. All arms are rose jointed and adjustable. I had to source a non HICAS steering rack, I obtained one in fairly good condition and replaced the rack bushes with polyurethane as well.

Moving on to the engine bay, it was stripped so I could paint it black. My first SR20 blew up on the dyno, but the new one is in and made 250hp @18psi with s15 injectors, a GT2871R and a power FC.

Complete mod list is below. Please read my blog for a full detailed build info. I have spent over 2 years, thousands of dollars, hundreds of hours, blood, sweat and tears into this car. It's my pride and joy. Currently what is left is to drop the height a little more and Rego.

I would like to thank the following people and companies for making this build possible, helping me along the way with my noob errors, questions, phone harrassment and for making the end result what it is.

Shane (Twincam16)
Drew (therandomhero)
James (Belgarion)
Josh (avalonea)
John (Akshunhiro)
Brad (s2krazy)
Col Robinson & Co for tuning my suspension
Ivan from Hi Power Racing for his careful and precise tuning
Phil from Cartel Online for great prices on parts
Jeff from Hacketts Discount Tyres

And anyone else that I missed.
