Had a bit of a bingle on Thursday in the Commodore while taking my daughter home, Would cost more then its worth to fix the Commy so i started searching for a cheap run about to drive until i get the Fairlane on the road, Found this Astina online for $1,000, offered $900 and picked it up on Saturday, Not a bad little car, no real plans for it, might lower it and get a nice set of after market rims and leave it at that...

Not a bad pick up. Will be a different animal to the VP though. At least it's manual to.

Cheers, suprisingly the VP wasnt to bad on fuel at all was only $60 - $70 a week that includes driving to work 5 days

Good pick up mate, Instead of getting aftermarket wheels on it, consider getting factory mazda wheels. something like cx7 mazda3/6 or rx8. would look a million times better wink.gif

Get some Phillips +100 globes in there if you can. I love the old myth that the older Holden 6's chew through fuel.

I don't think any of the wheels you mentioned will fit his astina.. stud pattern changed in recent years.

Because of the projector / fisheye lights you can do a HID conversion and it would look good.

Ive been told the HID kits at Autobarn are fairly cheap now.

No you can't. HID's are illegal in any car that didn't come with them factory.

    YO captain killjoy.

HID behind a factory projector headlight will look factory, Id say police would attack the people putting them in sealed beam style lights on commodores / falcons ect.
