Started it... It was misfiring, turned it off and started it again... It stopped misfiring.

Started driving, got up the street and the turbo stuttered then cut out, depollution fault came up and engine light. Pulled over, turned off and on, still there. Decided to boost it as it was running fairly normal... hit 8 more PSI more than I should... Determined I shouldn't boost it again...

Got home, went to pop bonnet, lever wont release. Decided funk it, and went inside.

Haha, euro lyf

Started it. Drove it 5m, found the EPS light on the dash.
No Elec Power Steer. Reversed it, cursed and drove the wagon instead.

Purchased larger brake booster/master cylinder (should be bolt on, nothing like continuing my bitsa theme), enquired about a two piece rotor and advice on what pads to run.

-Cleaned Interior
-Fixed up loose bumper, mounting point had broken off just under the indicator, cable tie came to the rescue.
-Adjusted clutch out more...no more forcing it into gear.
-Got the washerjets working again (calcium build up)

Rego check tomorrow lol

Finally refitted new exhaust hangers to the front of my exhaust so I no longer take concrete off every time I leave the garage.

Replaced tiny little hose with tiny little hole.. It's the blue hose in the pics. PITA head_wall.gif

Removed stuff to get at the little bastard..

Back together.. can you see it?

Also modified an aluminium temp housing to take a much larger thermo fan switch for the new electric fan I'm replacing the buggered original clutch fan with. Didn't get that finished before the sun went down.

Went and bought a Starter motor heat shield today. Also picking up a 90Ltr drop tank for the VS tomorrow... All in preperation for the supercharger. Also bought an M90 charger with everything. Gearbox, Torque converter, Flex plate, alternator, injectors, fuel rails, manifold plate for the charger to sit on, Harmonic balancer, Idler pulleys for the charger, belts. Loom, PCM. Heads. Everything for a straight bolt on and drive away set up

the_random_hero
Post #1890

Bought DBA slotted rotors + A1RM pads from GSL (once again can't recommend these guys enough).
All that's left to do is stitch weld the front end, tar-coat the underside and then it's reassembly time.

FUUUUUARK I THINK MY WHEEL BEARINGS ARE STILL funkED
