I hit a pretty sizable wallaby in my BMW at about 70-80kms and it bounced right off and landed on the guardrail, died instantly but was most surprised by the fact the front bumper had not a mark on it, not one, i still cant get over it i got home thinking my front bar at least would be totally trashed, you would never know it had happened. |

The funk? A mate of mine hit a grey roo about 1m tall in his EL XR6 on the drivers side front at 90kmh, smashed his front end, the windscreen and broke the A pillar, and despite the blood and fur, the roo got up and left Did all tie rods and took it for a wheel alignment, and fitted the roommate's CD player and speakers, big headache from solder smoke, just kept floating toward my face no matter which way I turned |

Removed the spoiler off the red one, as it wasn't sealed properly and I'm sick of stuff in the boot getting wet. Ran out of light so duct taped over the holes. Classy! Jumped on ebay and found a high mount brake light to mount on the parcel tray to keep it legal. $13.35 with priority shipping from HK. :thumbsup:Bargain! Tomorrow's mission.. bypass the heater as that's where my coolant has been going. Passenger side carpet has green stains. Not sure if coolant or mould.. Bypassed the heater today. Usual painful time removing the hoses. Stupid wire hose clamps! Hopefully that is the end of missing coolant.. |

See you all on the road - make sure to wave if you do! The colour is going to be rare as hell as the first lot that came to Australia are the only ones to have this colour - it's already ceased production. |

GOOD FUNKING SHOW. Love 'em-the smart man's alternative to the '86. In what way? Its fwd, and despite what the marketing people say, its a hatchback... Not to say that its not a bad car I have no idea. But wouldn't something like a gti/scirocco/focus st/rs megane/citroen ds3 be a more reasonable comparison? |

But wouldn't something like a gti/scirocco/focus st/rs megane/citroen ds3 be a more reasonable comparison? In the sense that it's a cheap, quick-ish little car that is better featured/fit-and-finished than the '86. This topic has been done to death-and I get in trouble for my dislike of the '86, so I won't do it again...suffice to say that I've mentioned all of the cars you just did, but remember that none of them are RWD either. If RWD is a requirement for you, rather than speed/looks/quality/features, then yes, the '86 is really your only option at it's price point. |

Fair enough, there are better choices in that price bracket though. I was not aware of your recent run-ins with boost's finest so it seemed like a strange comparison. Also, I'm not a fan of the 86. agreed. after working on to many hyundais are nothing but s**t. nanas cars This was not my point at all. |

This was not my point at all. Once again, well-trodden ground, but really the only ones that fall into the bracket properly are the Megane RS (my choice) and the Veloster Turbo. All the others are 5-10k over. ... I'd still just save longer and get one of those though. |
