Today is the first time i popped the hood on my shit box for a long time. Redid a heap of piping and oil lines, fitted heat shield, polished up some stuff, put my engine damper and strut brace back on. Will redo vacuum lines tomorrow maybe.

Cleaned out the interior, probably a good 50-60c worth of mixed bottles in there from being lazy, or over $1 in SA!

Nissan: Went outside, went damn it's dirty, ran hand over it, paint came off with the dirt <_< Piece of crap...

haha tell me about it. Went for a good drive today and found some motivation.

Most likely the end of the road for the old girl soon anyways, may as well make her last days enjoyable.

Sprayed a can of upper engine cleaner through it, Changed oil and filters, fitted other set of wheels. It is crazy how much awd cars wear on the edge of the tread. The middle still has heaps left but the inside and outside edges on the fronts are nearly bald..

Also put new rotors and project mu pads all round, finally worthwhile taking to the track again!

Fitted manual boost controller and turned it up a little, still figuring out how to hook up the oil pressure gauge sender unit and turbo feed with the limited room available :/

what car is it ?

o/t ; hooked up my manual boost controller today in the skyline, was piss easy. right infront of me, wound up to 15psi. time to get a dyno reading with a/f ratio and see if everything is running fine. also keen to see how much power it is making now.

Finally took the leep and did the Ve v6 plugs. Glad I did. Holden made me think twice though when they
said its about a 4 hour job and would cost about $625 incl the plat plugs. Took me and hr at most and under $100

They really scare me sometimes.

made 292.2 rwhp @ 17psi w/ only just a turbos' back exhaust and FMIC.
mines ecu which cannot be tuned and running rich due to coil packs. doesnt hesitate though, and seems to boost when it should and carry on up to 8k (redline)

AW11-
*got cash from Pedders for me to replace all the stuff they lost and didn't charge me for the labour they did. Now I just have to wait for all the stuff to come from Japan.
*Finished 'Plumley' spoiler mod which moves the factory spoiler back 4" and greatly improves rear aero. I have the spoiler mounted in the new position, now I have to cut down the excess spoiler in preparation for moulding in carbon fibre.
*Started marking out the drop-vents for the bonnet.

Also if all goes to plan, picking up a '10 turbo diesel, manual i30 tomorrow. Still 3 years of manufacturers warranty, so should be reliable and will stay relatively stock for now.

turbo's were rebuilt with steel wheels when the conversion was done. ran 20psi and made 310rwhp but that's about it, back to 15psi though

Nice work. I want to get back out there one day.

OT took a few hundred kg worth of stuff out of the back of my Transit van, it's like a race car now, only much bigger, much slower. I need to pull the rest of my tools and things out, sell off what I no longer want, and put it up for sale.

Lol, NO work actually!

Bone stock, I've just never been able to extract the correct time out of it before. I was starting to think it was broken.

Didnt you get some guy to tune it and it ran slower or something? Did you give up on all that?

Yep. Gave me -1 HP, and 20 more NMs of torque. All that did was make it impossible to launch.

These engines are, as they told me, pretty much untuneable (from a purely electronic perspective).

I've decided to more or less give up on it, keep it as a cruiser, and get something faster.
