Engine: 3.8 Litre Ecotech

Exhaust: Standard

Suspension: Pedders Sports springs

Wheels: 18" Osaka Racing Phantom Machined Black.

Modifications:

Stereo Audio / Visual: Orion XTR's component fronts & 12" Sub powered by an Orion Amp, 6 x 9 Orion XTR's on back parcel shelf.

Estimated Power: Factory kw's 152 - Now?, who knows, no engine mods.

Owned this for a little over 2 years, never missed a beat...had no mechanical issues whatsoever.

When I bought it, it was completely stock on 16" S pack wheels with standard blaupunkt audio system, replaced both quickly, wheels came from my last car so they went on the day I bought it and installed my sound system a few months down the track.

Came with LPG system already installed so running it is very cheap, now with a sub in the boot though so no bootspace to speak of.

And this is my future plan for it, SSV 19" wheels powdercoated black or gunmetal grey.

Had them on my vectra before this, had these wheels for about 4 years now, looked huge on that...tiny on this, that's why I'm hunting some SSV's down, should have them on in the next 6 months or so.

Thanks mate, yeah definitely hanging out for getting SSV's...almost bought some earlier this year but I had to move from melbourne to cairns which put a monstrous dent in my savings so the car had to take a back seat with any mods for a while, saving up now though, down the line I would like to do a boot install, get some of those corner sub enclosures and a fake wall backing to hide the LPG tank...just neaten it all up a bit better.

Except 90% of the P plate population like you who are wishing so hard that they could have that choice.

haha, pretty true...like when they put their exhausts on their 6's and expect to get a V8 rumble and throaty note....UNLIKELY!

I'm happy to have the option of an 8 but a V6 is perfectly fine for what I need it for, a comfortable cruiser/daily.

Yeah man, if I put a chev badge on it, I'd be breaking traction dropping back a gear at 100. haha...couldn't handle the powwwwwwrrrrr.

I can and do, people that do put them on are morons...also it's not exclusively the V6 owners that do it, plenty of V8 owners who do it aswell....they are also wankers for thinking because it's an 8 that they"re exempt...still not a chev.

No way lish. Thats 1/2 my 383 build cost lol.

And well said for the above. Not all Commo owners are tossers that feel the need to put a Chevy badge on.

Thanks mate, gets plenty of looks so I'm happy enough with it, it's clean and tidy...just the way I like it, I'm just tired of seeing people butchering cars with "custom" modifications that completely ruin the look of a car, like people that de-spoiler and debadge S and SS's....then they look like execs with kits, why bother?

Also yes I think SSV's are perfect on VY/VZ's, they are becoming more popular but that's why I want them powdercoated black or the colour that they come on the new Thunder Ute's

Haha cheers mate wink.gif, didn't want to go with kings as I'd heard good things about pedders from friends who run a branch of TTF.
