Hey guys I've been on here a little while and owned this car for over 2 years so i thought I may as well throw up a thread.
The car is a 2000 model N15 SSS pulsar. In june/july of last year I replaced the good old sr20de with an sr20ve.
I bought the motor with a brand new bottom end and about 75k on the head.
Future mods include:
BC BR coilovers (fucker looks like a tractor atm!)
LSD!!!
20v/n1 cams
Adjustable cam gears
N1 rocker cover
16x8 +15 XXR 501 wheels
VZR lip

I had been driving the car with the VE without issue for about 8 months before I stumbled accross a thread on sr20-forum which essentially told me I did not have my intake high cam kicking in! (I am using the single solenoid from a 20V), recently I had the mods done make it work and it goes a hell of a lot better now!
But still, with 108kw and one high cam it managed a 14.8 at 95mph with a 2.2 60' down the 1/4. Will be getting a new fuel pump and a re tune in the next couple of weeks and that should net me 97 mph and hopefully a 14.4 or so with a decent launch. Pod is also gone now in favour of standard airbox.
It's been my P plate daily hack for ages, but it's mine and I love it.
Let me know what you think smile.gif
Cheers, Dan.

I am confused about the cams you want, do you want SR20VE cams, or real N1 cams, being the N1 was a SR16VE

Other then that, love it, I would love to do this to one of mine, but both of mine are low km's and I cannot justify it at the moment...

    Dutch off pga?
No the cams I eventually want are as I said, 20V/N1 cams. They're hybrid cams that use the SR20VE 20V low lobes, with the SR16VE N1 high lobes. Best of both worlds biggrin.gif
Brett has them in his n14 and it goes like a cut cat!

    Cheers mate smile.gif

The Kelford's? I want them when I eventually go to the VE. Thought of going with some sr16ve pistons?

Yeah I think brett has Franklin's...but I'll either go with Kelfords or Dale's ones. Better quality control methinks.
I've thought about sr16 pistons, but there isn't really any point spending the money when my entire bottom end is already brand new with 11:1 compression pistons and going to 13:1 might get me an additional 5ish kw.
My mate recently did a high comp VE though and it should be fairly off tap when it's running.
Cheers for the input btw mate smile.gif

Cheers mate. Imo the maroon adds to the "sleeperness". I know it isn't really a sleeper because it isn't that quick, but still people just tend to think it's a family wagon piece of poo. Eh he he.

I'm sure you did mate, good on you. There is a fellow in sydney who has done a 14.1 in his stock VE N15.
If you read the first post again though, you'll see that I did my time with only one high cam working. So really I didn't even have I-VTEC, I had E-VTEC! ohmy.gif lol.
The time should drop with a re tune and the better tyres I have now. Cheers.
