Zomg, fixed with of 990px :/ Imo, % layout is better, could fit everything on my over 9000x9000 layout I hear you, but the fixed width makes a lot more sense when styling things to appear sensibly rather than having enormous whitespace surrounding standard elements. I put heaps of work into making the homepage resize with additional elements for various widths but making the entire site work that way would be near impossible... Your screen resolution of thousands wide sounds like it's a rather rare exception too This is just a first step of many when it comes to a revised layout to the site... hang in there and it'll make a lot more sense soon. |

imo it was way to narrow, half the screen is the thread, and then the cars picture is taking up the other half, seems pointless and distracting, the layout is that bad it actually makes me not want to use the site This. Plus, it's already stuffing with some posts which contain wide images stretching the post out: Also when I now click the edit button, the box for full edit/quick edit ends up being way out to the right... Should have an option to revert back to the way it was. |

The background has been faded and now changes hourly rather than each page load. |

Hi, In an effort to please as many people possible, I've gone for a compromise between a fixed width layout and a variable layout by limiting the confines of the width between 960px and 1240px. To the tech guru's this is basically the CSS for the center column of main content. min-width: 960px; max-width: 1240px; I am hopeful that this is a suitable result moving forward, thank you to those who have been patient with the changes throughout today while we got through the teething issues. Looking good now! So glad you upped it to max 1240px Keep up the good work |

Can you make a separate layout, 100% width minus background. Just at work while I'm on boost, I keep having to manually remove the background |
