Engine: Holden 304.

Exhaust: 2 1/2".

Suspension: Koni.

Wheels: Simmons FR19s.

Modifications: Mild cam, exactractors, heads. It's pretty stock actually.

Stereo Audio / Visual: Pioneer.

Estimated Power: No idea.

Some of you guys will know this car, some of you wont. It's my old mans's Calais. Sadly this will be the last time it gets posted as it's currently up for sale. We actually have a potential buyer that's coming around in the next couple of days and he's a car collector, so if the deal is sealed at least it'll be going to a good home.

This car have alot of sentimental to me as it was the first V8 I ever drove around Mount Panorama nonetheless and sadly it was the last car my grandad went in before he died of cancer in April 2006. He was a lover of all Aussie cars whether it was a Holden or a Ford and I quote what he said.

"There's nothing like the sound of a V8"

Anyway we bought the car in March 2006 for $12,000. The previous owner rebuilt it in about 1995 and has had an estimated $40,000 spent on it (before us). New parts were used for it and it even still has a new car smell. Everything is incredibly detailed from the underside to the bolts themselves. Everything is new. As you can see the previous owner tried combining the luxuaries of the Calais with VL SS Group A looks, with its permananent red paint job and SS Group A bonnet scoop.

We purchased the FR19s in 2006 before Simmons went bust, so they're the real deal. Funnily enough I think the wheels and tyres have only done about 10kms in the last 5 1/2 years.

This car will be missed, but we simply don't have the time for it anymore with other toys we have. I hope you guys enjoy it one last time. smile.gif

He wants 40k, but even he's doubting it'll fetch that sort of $.

I'm a Ford man at heart, but i can appreciate a nice car, no matter what the make. This thing is immaculate and for the time, effort and money spent, you'd be lucky to find one in the same condition. 40k is a bloody bargain pray.gif

Yeah that its only drawback. I've seen other HDTs for around the 40k mark. Really it's just a dressed up Calais to look like a HDT. I'd be shocked if it does sell for that much. Fingers crossed anyway.
