343rwkw stock? ... What is this madness.

+1 lol

cant complain with that power figure fresh out of the box. surely a flash and extractors would unleash a few more killerwasps.

simmons look great but that dollar figure is way too much. could got a set of ccw's or adv1's for similar money

How do you get 343 rwkw stock when the sticker says BOSS 335?? Which is suppose to be 335 kw at the motor??

Its called ford under quoting power figures.... there have been plenty of new GT/GTP's that have this power figure at the wheels for it to be completely believable.

Not a massive Ford fan but credit were it is due. These thins are animals even in stock form. HSV really need to do something special in terms of powerplant for the VF or I can see a lot of people jumping ship. Think I would happily own either a FG GT, or F6.

While not really my thing, I'd sure take one of these over an HSV any day!

yeh they just under quote the power that these actually have.

wolfman101
Post #42

Interesting.
So they underquote these too-I thought it was just the turbos they did that with.

Mid 11s to 12s straight out of the box. Gotta love it. Looks good.

wolfman101
Post #47

Whoah: mid-11s?
Seriously?
That's R35 territory.

Anyone got evidence of that? That's awesome if so.

EDIT:
Spent the last 20 mins hunting around-I see a great deal of talk about mid-high 12s, nothing in the 11s.

ive heard low 12s
my mate ran 12.33 stock as a rock in his f6
and his car had 270rwkw standard so dunno where that puts mine lol?

Yep, F6s are well known for out of the box low 12s.

The lowest figure I've been able to see reported for a 2011 GT is 12.4x

Think it will safely put you in "bullshit quick for a stock family sedan" territory thumbsup.gif

You've seen some run in the 11s?

luland

wolfman101
Post #53

Yep, I'd expect high 11s on a tune if they run mid 12s stock.

Wraith

500hp
Post #60

Look up Real Dyno Performance in Brissy. They have one that has run a 10 and makes well over 500hp. These thing are tuff and look good too. They have an oil pump issue when making big hp which can be fatal. something to keep in mind.

luland
Post #61

yeh ive never heard of tht problem and ive spoke to a shitload of tuners that are running 10 seconds in there GT's with only a tune intercooler injectors and twin 3 inch exhaust

wolfman101
Post #62

Wraith, the guy in that thread says 12.9, one random mentions 12.2s...though no evidence that I saw.

Where are you getting 11s from?

luland
Post #63

they run 12s standard
11s tuned
intercooled exhaust smaller supercharger pulley and injectors n tune = 10s

all those twelves were probly straight out of the box on street tyres, if the f6s are running 12.3-12.4 stock with 270-280rwkw, im sure these could easily pull a low 12, high 11 with 330-340rwkw. ford forums mention how hard they are to get off the line on street tyres with all the torque, there is a video of one running tens at willowbank.

Ok, cool.
I'm talking stock, and to me that includes street legal tyres.
So does anyone have a link to a slip or video showing lower than 12.4?
I'm not calling bullshit, I genuinely want to know. If so, then that's faster than the F6 310, which I've seen run 12.2x bone stock...and I think that's the fastest sub 100k car I know of.
May have a new winner here!

I have been looking and I swear when they first came out I read an article and some one ran a high 11 out of the box. Not sure can't seem to find it. Either way it's better bang for your buck then the 6 turbo now. A tune is all that's needed to run mid 11s.

Hunt through the ford forum I could swear I saw one run 12.0 when they tested it, yes hsv really need to pick up there game, down 120-130rwhp on your competitor is embarassing
