Won't be returning. Was going there to pick up some indicators and to have dinner, I pulled in next door and got sent up to the little set up they had going on.
Cop popped my bonnet and the first thing I was asked was " Do you have a blow off valve" I Replied " No, The car is Naturally aspirated as I'm on a Provisional license." His Next question was "How much power does it have?"

I got quite a nice cop, His partner was a cockhead but the nice one had no idea what he was on about. Gave me a month to get mirrors on my car and produce a sound test. (My Mirrors got smashed off and I'm waiting for insurance to find who was liable...) His partner wanted him to fine me then when he said no, He told him to give me a week to fix it. I was sent straight home and the car is not to be driven after 9pm tonight until it's fixed.

Tonight I learn't 2 things.

1. Bogans fuck everything and apparently we are all hoons.
2. If you show respect and be honest about your car you will come out with a fairly positive result.

Drove past around 8:30 and road works everywhere! and bogans soooo much of them outside standing on both side i was like fuck that im going home NOW!

They got me and a few others in the car park next door. But as you head to Harry's and turn left onto Newmarket road. If you go straight through the lights on the left is some form of shopping centre car park.
They were set up in there going over everyone's cars and doing sound tests etc.. Was basically the same thing that was on ACA the other night. As it started to spit rain one of the cops goes "OHH, It's raining... All you Hoons love this."
I think they were trying to pick people off quietly. I didn't see any shit boxes in there though. All the cars were clean looking or highly modified. I didn't see any shitter Falcon's/Commodore's.

i got told to go there as well. i think i saw you ^ i was in the silver 34. i waited 30 mins to get check and then 5 mins later he told me to that i was good to go. waste of my fucking time. the cop was nice though. thank god he didnt check the height of my exhaust from the groun itherwise i definitely wouldve got defected >< i think "ricer" got done twice in one night.. fuck that

Most likely did. I didn't take not of too many cars. Poor "RICER" is always getting pulled over. The cops weren't too bad although some lacked quite a bit of knowledge but I didn't mention that. I just agreed and listened to what they had to say.

Thats pretty steep guys, a coppa comes up to you and says "Hey i cant defect you here go down to my mate down the road and he will" What ever happen to they need to catch you driving on the road then pull you over then defect you. I might be a little old fashioned but if you are in a car park like harry's or the shopping center next door, your on private property not goverment so they cant defect you?. How do they know your not going to get your car towed from the car park to home (not that a lot of you would) but its like if they see your registed car in your own yard and they drive past and see it, they are not allowed to defect you until you drive in on the road or onto the footpath (goverment property). sounds like the dounut eaters are getting more and more lazy.


Why dont they do some REAL police work, Go catch sex offenders, go catch the little maggots that are breaking into our houses while we are at these meets, go catch shoplifters, catch the bogans in their rust buckets doing skids, driving on bald tires, no head light or tail lights, you know shit that is actully dangerous, the shit that will kill someone, but no they go after us that spend $300 on each tyre, a BOV that makes a little noise ( not half as much as a bogan with half his exhaust cut off) we spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to do shit properly that bogans are doing with their dads angle grinder in their back yards for less than $2 and 10 mins work. I have a few mods on my car that has cost me over $4,000 to do however i could of done the same mods for about $600 and a few cartons of beer if i wanted to and still get harresed by the jacks My old house got broken into 5 times with in 6 months a few years ago they left fingerprints over the windows where they broke in, the cops came out (2 days later) and said their was nothing they could do. The insurence company started to ask the police what they were doing it happed so many times in a short period and they said their resorces were streched. A coppa dies last year doing some real police work trying to stop a crim robbing the place and now we all have to respect them cause aparently they have a real dangerious job. A carpenter is more likely to die or get seriously injered at work than a coppa is. Anyway this rant could and will go on forever and a day but its getting to the point where enough is enough.

Also, imo if cops turn up just don't go near your car. As far as I'm aware if the owner or a driver isn't there, they can't defect you? I could be wrong.

Yeah, I was just about to park and they had some guy in an S15 and they told me to park next to them. He then asked if it was my car and instructed me to follow them for a "Vehicle Inspection".

Not that I'm supporting the police, but people have failed to mention that the cars I seen being pulled over, they had the lights on coming down the hill and they were turning into Harry's to get off the road.. The 34 which got told to go up the road was questionable, from what I seen he was pulling into Harry's and the cop was dealing with another person already and got told to Park up close by..


As for if the car park is private or public, my work has been told they have to register the forklift because I drive it into the car park for deliveries, because it runs off a public road... So I'm really unsure, but when you think about it, that would make almost everysingle car park public?

One part I found amuzing is the part where you mention
how much money you have spent on mods as opposed
to the bogans who do dodgy mods.

All well and good that you are spending $$$ on mods, but just because you
spend more $$$ on mods than the 'bogan' doesn't mean your mods are any more legal
than his.

That's what I don't get about all the people whinging about the cops & DOT hammering
the modified car scene. If it's not legal and you know it, it's your own fault for getting done.

Its annoying that this happens, i have a ve ute and it had 22's on it, i have now gone back to staggered 20's because of being defected for them 4 times, its annoying but unfortunately its the law. as long as people are breaking it they are going to be there to enforce it. on another note over rolling diameter is the gayest law ever invented!

If you don't go back to your car then they will get you for abandoning your vehicle on public property.. depending on how long it takes you to return.. but if they can see quite clearly you have a defectable vehicle they'll just wait..

They can take photos of it parked there... Not sure if they can issue u a ticket without u being there or just come and find you later..

imo you know some of the stuff you have done to your car is illegal so you drive it at your own risk. Also the cops are only doing there job (for once lol) and I was one of the lucky ones that waited awhile and then snuck out on the bike lol. But i will say they havent done it for awhile if i can remember right?
As said above if we stop doing these meets there wont be ANY car seen at all it will be dead and then whats the point in having a nice car? to drive to and from work? drive to the shopping centre where some jealous prick will damage it with his door?

A car park or shopping centre car park is deemed a public road at times when the occupying business is open, that is what I am lead to believe. Seeing as though Harry's dinner is open...public road
