Hey guys, This is the first car i've owned therefor, it is a learning curve. i've had her for about 4 months now, bought it as a stock standard IS200, with a difference... 2JZ & 6 speed Getrag Manual swap done by previous owner.

Got straight to work with mods, as i couldn't leave it untouched being the car fan i am.
Plus the 2JZ needed a few other mods to join it.

No huge plans in the near future, as i am still to get my p's and don't really need the ass pain/attention from the police... but we all know that'll change :|

Sorry about the lack of photos, will try get a couple of shots once i give it a cut and polish this weekend.

Feel free to chuck us ya thoughts and voice some suggestions!

Cheers, Goppy.

Quick Photoshop with rims....

yeah i expect the police attention, but well just see how it comes....

i plan on doing something with the lights as the stock ones kinda look like some F*ckwhit with 0 taste has tried to put aftermarket lights in and failed HUGE, whether they be these... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Smoked-ALTEZZA-...8#ht_2731wt_954 or these... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LEXUS-IS300-01-...=item2eba75ce83 i'm not sure

And yeah, fair call on the potential troll, shall supply anti troll evidence soonly.

Im going to say those two other tail light suggestions dont jingle my bell, they look FAR worse then stock.

BBS LM, pretty much any work emotions, depends what look your going for with the car.

    also is that 2jzGTE?

I'm trying to avoid the whole "jdm pig" image.... Just keep it simple yet make it different, therefor, no 20" dolce chrome dinnerplates like every other is200/300.

Also, no its N/A as restrictions wouldn't allow me to drive a turbo on my P's.

Restrictions don't allow engine conversion either unless you are in some weirdo state, but i doubt that.

    Ahhh shiit. :/

    What would be worse?

Drive around in it with the engine swap unregistered (risk getting pulled over and boned hard if the cop were to check all numbers and whatever)

    Or

Register swap with vicroads, and then just get caught driving a non p plate legal car, if the cop actually knows what the hells even going on under the hood...

OR wink.gif apply for a "high powered vehicle" exemption and claim some bullshit reason?

    Taken straight off vicroads website
"2. Replacement engine is not of a type offered by the vehicle manufacturer as an option for that vehicle or where alterations, or changes to the vehicle's frame or structure are made, and/or specially fabricated supports or structures are used.
You will need to attend a VicRoads Customer Service Centre for an inspection of the vehicle to confirm the new engine details. You will also need to complete a Change of Vehicle Description form and provide VicRoads with:
a VASS Approval Certificate from a VicRoads Vehicle Assessment Signatory
an original receipt for the purchase of the engine as proof of ownership of the engine
    "

Looks goods, but I would have those BC's wound down on the stock wheels.

What he said. Could do with lower, but the stock wheels look nicer than those monstrosities.
I actually think something classic and multi-spoke would look nice, like mine.

Would go alright, my is300 stock did 15.3 and that was with factory auto, would imagine manual would only improve on this.

Shame you only get the non LSD 200 unless he also put a 300 diff in at the same time?

*NB not all is300 owners put 20" dinner plates on"

Hold the phone. Is this swap legal because this engine was a factory engine in IS300 that was still under the same Chassis code of E10?

its fairlyquick, but nothing over the top, just a good fun car for now....

its a is200 Sport Luxury, i've read that the sports lux's came stock with a lsd?

all i know is it lays two solid 2 lines with a clutch dump so, lsd?....

yes, your car was/is one of rare exceptons.

im not sure bud? i do know that is is300's came with a N/A 2jz, but wether the chassis codes are the same im not sure? as there are minor (very) differences between 200/300

    Someone should know.

Different brakes for starters, different trans/ LSD Diff.
Other changes were cosmetic such as better sound system, HID standard, ESP as well as TRC, Eshift auto and 5 speed opposed to stock 4speed in 200. obviously aside from the 2J N/A being std off the factory floor.

LSD wasn’t stock in a "sports lux 200" but was optional, clearly yours has the option or it just spins 2 due to road surface.

Sports/Lux just refers to trim level, as in you got leather/suede rather than cloth, upgraded 6stack, sunroof and brushed alloy accents around the door plates/peddles.

and ill sus out the chassis code, but being the IS300 had to be re crash tested for australia would suggest its different enough for ADR's to care.

    Is300 chassis code is JCE10 and Is200 is GXE10

Not very many differences between the two except for headlights, different coloured fog lamps and the rear spoiler, appearance wise. They are two different cars though each with base, sport and sport luxury upgrade options. Is300 was offered in 2001 - 2005 as opposed to 1999-2005 for the 200.

You clearly have never been over the pits.

Your insurance will be invalid unless your approved to drive it in VIC.
