Hmm.. Surely there was room in the rear somewhere being dual cab. Oh well, definitely different mate. Good luck with it smile.gif

It sounds terrific, I compete in sound quality competitions and I have one massive advantage over everyone else... Sub bass coming from the front where it belongs. Without losing practicality of the back seat this was the only place I could mount the sub. Not enough room behind the seats (I tried that first with poor results).
I couldn't be happier with how the sub sounds apart from it is "only" a single ten (a bloody good one at that) it's not overly loud and it won't be winning any db drag comp, that's for sure

this ute looks really long lol, but cant really complain hey, what made you wanna put the prado wheels?

Well I always liked the look of Prado wheels and I didn't wanna go really aftermarketish with wheel choice.. I wanted plain and simple so it was these or a set of patrol 17x8.5 Ti wheels. The patrol wheels are hard to come by, expensive and would have needed 4wd guards and tub to fit. These fit straight on and have near perfect fitment sitting within a mm or two of the edge of the guard (when I wind the torsions down).
Nah no turbos for this... If/when the engine has enough and dies, it will be getting a cammed LS1.

looks nice! just one thing, the Ti badge above the indicator looks out of place. I reckon it should be under the indicator or better yet just removed

Doesn't look like the box is big enough to get the most out of the sub.

Other than that it's awesome, really like it! Top effort.

I've always likes the D21 Navs, especially the blocky front end. Some shaving and a respray (same colour) would set it off. Why go an LS1 if the motor blows? Aren't the 300ZX turbo engines of that era based on the same block? Just thinking ease of fitment etc, would be a cheaper and easier option

thanks guys, the box is just shy of the recommended enclosure size of 26 litres. Bottom end is smooth however lacking sheer output which is a combination of enclosure size, lack of power (currently only has 300w rms) and lack of cabin loading normal systems have by being in a boot/hatch etc.

ratta tat tat, you are correct; its the same 300zx motor (z31) the z32 quad cam version is significantly wider and as such is not an easy conversion. The LS1 is far cheaper, makes a tonne more power and just as much (or less) work to fit.

Looks good mate. A friend has the Prado rims on a single cab trayback D21 and they look too big. Looks good on this though. Also, that's a D22 interior, yeah? Will be awesome if the LS1 goes in it smile.gif

thanks guys! Socal: its actually the late model D21 interior (1994-1997) The Ti had a completely different trim to all other navaras with sports cloth (blue/green/purple) + Velour and had a fold down centre rear arm rest.

Rollpan installed, hinged numberplate installed and in undercoat awaiting panel work on the tub to be finished before being resprayed.

    New speakers (Crescendo MB3N midranges)

do you have the chassis number handy . I just bought a D21 single cab and want a few bits (figuratively) off yours for it. (the build plate in the engine bay - nissan one not the compliance plate) can you email it to [email protected] please.
