Engine:
SR20det

Exhaust:
Turbo Back 3 inch

Suspension:
Lowered shocks

Wheels:
Black 17"

Modifications:
GTIR Bonnet
2871r with .86 rear
550cc Injectors
Piggyback ECU

Stereo Audio / Visual:
Pionner head unit, some tweeters and a sub

Estimated Power:
Made 260hp on a slipping clutch, will get dynod again but it spins 3rd in the dry and goes quite well.
Am fitting an LSD box this week so this should help me get a bit more traction

Edit: Car just shredded third gear and now sounds like marbles in a blender when clutch is engaged lol. Luckily there was a spare LSD box in the boot. Any tips on how to get this gb to last? I know not to snap gears and lauch but anything else? hopefully nissan overengineerd it to cope with 2.5x the stock power hhaha

Ya seems to handle better then my R33. Its definitley a fun little street car. Think it needs a brake upgrade though. Sorry I couldn't give you more specs on the mods im terrible at remembering turbo model numbers and this is my first SR20 so I have no clue about them.

LOL - my old car still gets around... this was my first car and a mate did the engine conversion (at the time only had 3inch turbo back no cat exhaust system, stock T25 and 14psi and front mount intercooler). Had that GTiR bonnet on there too. I see a bit of cosmetic work has been done since i owned it in 2004 - 2006... (lol i still can see my nismo sticker on the passenger side tank on the intercooler..)

I didn't go through one gearbox at all - I gave old mate who bought it a spare gearbox.
All I lost was 5th gear due to worn rear engine mount.
    Must be your driving style...
I use to give this car a f*cken hard time on thursday nights at sunnybank meets/highway meets and the gearbox stayed loyal to me.
Dumping clutch off the line, etc etc but never use to smash it into gears when downshifting to line up for a race.

**Is the BOV still nicely hidden?

Far out, this car gets around a bit now. Fun memories.

How to make the gearbox last? dont put in a normal LSD box.

Or spend the 6k on a dog box.

They are made of glass, learn to live with it.

Honeychicken never had an issue with it when i installed the motor some 5 years ago...

Nope, driver's door prob had two or three shopping trolley dents.
I was told whoever had it after me (unsure of how many owners), that it rolled down a hill and hit a tree....?

Is it only a Q, or does it just have a Q spoiler?

I never had any issues with mine either when I had it (it not being OPs Pulsar), and it would have done at least 100 passes at Willowbank. New owner dunno.gif (well I do know)

LOL, this thing doesn't even compare to choongy's old N14....

And Shane, don't recommend someone go and blow $7500 on a par gearset (including pinion gear), Nismo LSD (if you can even find one for sale), par fly wheel... Sooner of later he will do a ringers and blow that...

What is a better recommendation is go upgrade the box and bell-housing from the 32a series to a 70a series with a hydrolic clutch kit from an N16... I was raping the N16T with 250hp and haven't even damaged a gear as yet...

Looks tidy mate, i have owned my n14 with the sr20det for close to 3 years now and i have never had a single broken gearbox. l.s.d box's make a good difference.

Although i have just yesterday broken a gearbox mount/bolt, but not a big problem and i don't know how old it is anyway tongue.gif What sort of clutch are you running?

Some sort of new button clutch. Just found out some asian d00d named choong did own this too. Is that you honey chicken? or are you trent? lol

Yes, that is I, Chuong.. it was my first car lol
Don't know wat seats they were, standard N14 Q pulsar seats..
You dont need a button clutch to have it hold power. Contact Direct clutch and tell them you want the baddest clutch however want the standard pedal feel.
My brother has close to 600hp at all 4 wheels on his evo 1 and still runs a organic clutch. hasnt slipped once.

I drove to some japanese import place with no bonnet so I could attach the GTiR bonent str8 away.

Those pics made me want some new wheels, take the mesh from the intercooler and SSS badges off it. So you drove it around on the non-lsd gearbox and had no problems with it? Im starting to think its probs the same gearbox and it finally had enough and shit the bed (crunched 2nd hard when i first got it) so maybe the spare lsd gearbox wont be as glass as i was scared of. (still going to baby it around town but would like to take it to the drags at least once)

Edit: Housemates are telling me to ask Kai about it coz he has known all the owners lol

    mesh is homo.
    sss badges are homo.
    eye lids are homo.
p badge on grille is homo (i ran a gtir grille, that grille on the car now isn't hence the grille pieces are more narrow).
wen i had it, 5th synchoes were gone, so i doubt its the original gearbox from when i built it.
i had no problems with it. i smashed heaps of cars (rolling starts) with it.
car was perfect when i had it. its got davies craig twin thermofans on it

Avoid the HD clutch like the plague, they encourage you to shift quicker which loads up the gearbox more wink.gif

PS: the 5 speed LSD box needs an N13 VLSD passenger side inner CV joint to engage the VLSD in the SR20DE box smile.gif

Ya mate got that, lsd box is in and it now has heaps less wheelspin. How do you get your pulsar to launch?

My Pulsar launches fine, good rubber, 6 speed box with the Helical LSD and a traction control system in the ECU to help get it off the line.

Hnmm it seems that i own this little rocket now,, few more scrapes and dents and a garrett t28 are the only differences i can see majorly, the gearbox blew third gear and am currently removing and refitting a non lsd box in hope it doesnt load up that third gear as much, maybe winding her up past 12psi wasnt a good idea bahahah
