Spent $500+ on a new HD towbar for the back of my new ute, if you do end up getting a cheap trailer, I can help out with towing. Whats that make the towing rate now ??? An F truck or such and a tandem trailer will wiegh a bit |

i dunno what model it is. costs me more to run and drinks more fuel than any sportscar i've owned! Any of the petrol 4x4s wether patrol or landcruiser are fukn thirsty as all hell My 4.2 petrol GQ returns between 20-25L / per 100Ks Dearer than a worked 350/351 V8 But its also near twice the weight of a dunnybox or falcooooon 4x4s ,and economy dont belong in the same sentence, paragraph or same page Unless ya want a small 4 banger turbo diesel Then ya have to wait all day for them to get to 100 |

Maybe you should have spent 30k on a ute that had some kind of use? |

Drove it a few times and it would get going quite well, even with all the stupid extra options that comes in the grande, like a centre console fridge... man a dual axle trailer weighs around 750kg and the truck weighs around the two ton mark, you sure the bommodore is up to the challenge? and another factor i only just relized, have you ever noticed how long an F100 is? this ones only a short wheels base but its still longer than my Hq,so unless your commy can tow a 40ft lowline trailer with ramps, i think were shit outta luck. Maybe you should have spent 30k on a ute that had some kind of use? I'm not sure now, tows my dads boat pretty easily and its around 1500kg maybe a bit more including the trailer. I've never really paid much attention to how big and heavy F trucks are haha, all I know is that the new ones are massive. And it has some kind of ..er.. use *cough*carry's all my work tools around all day, for tax purposes*cough* |

nice.. i do like ceramic coating. whereabouts are you after? the mob in cleveland is supposed to be pretty good. my days work: Mirror finish rather than the other dull set I have, apparently. Will see how they turn out. And I'm not too worried - happy to drive them to anywhere within reason - would drive them to the coast if I knew the job was going to be decent. If I can't find anywhere to do what I'm after, I'll have to order a new set - $1400 + $450 postage... ugh. If I can find someone, my new go-fast bit will be here soon. Mini looks sweet too man! |

May have found a V8 sooner than expected. Made over 500hp at the treads before it was rebuilt again with better pistons (maybe rods as well, can't remember right now) now with more comp and better bearings. 6.5ltr; aftermarket heads, big cam, good valve train etc. stroker small block. Did around 250km before it broke a built gearbox and before it had a chance to get a good tune. |

Hahaha wbtonner, joining the dark side too eh? Have you joined already??? Funniest part about it is my mum made the suggestion of the car and to use the motor and box and any other parts I could out of it. (VX SS) Finally all the years of her working in a mechanics workshop has paid off. Will be talking to the owner in the next two weeks to discuss pricing and payment. Then if I ever get bored with it, rear mount under the tray...trying to find the vid on jewtube now of the LS turbo tonner...Have to buy it first though . Just noticed your sig, have you bought one or are you still looking? L98...Rich boy... |

Put the new gauges in today Not really happy with the angle of them though, so will probably take them back out and sand the brackets down again... joy. And yeah, the blue isn't really muscle-car-ish, but I like it and normal lit gauges annoy me. theres nothing wrong with the blue, they look great |

What did they all set you back if you don't mind me asking? I need to upgrade mine. Should all look good in a custom center console. Get rid of them shitty switches.. Haha haha, woo! The gauges were: COBALT FUEL LEVEL $62.99 COBALT WATER TEMP 140-280 $95.99 COBALT OIL PRESS 0-100 $69.99 COBALT VOLTMETER 8-18 $61.99 COBALT TACH ELEC 10000RPM $199.99 COBALT SPEEDO IN-DASH 160 $279.99 SENDER $69.99 Postage was $120 or so. Originally had them mounted underneath in seperate cups but I didn't like how it looked at all. Picked up the boost gauge the other day for another $95 I think. Oh... and it will be used properly, not just for looks, haha - will update when it's all finalised. edit: Pic of the old setup - ugh. This is the result of me trying to be lazy. Didn't need the heater controls so no big loss there, radio will be replaced... not that I plan to be able to hear it, no one will be smoking in there so will put a neat switch panel there. |
