It worth it. I sold all the blower componets helped cover a lot of the cost. Gen racing do a well priced kit

Gen racing, are they the workshop who sell the single turbo kits on eBay? What diameter is that exhaust looks pretty small for a turbo ls motor but could just be my phone? Keep us updated on how you go after its tuned

No that's not gen racing. It's PCPA. the exhaust is twin 3 plenty big enough

Yes they use a Borg Warner turbo. Simple set ups work the best smile.gif

I could imagine what you would get for 50k. But you would want to expect near 800-900rwhp for that sort of money spent. I spent approx 13k all up. I got alot of it cheap by just shopping around and getting stuff at the right price. And by fitting it myself I saved thousands in labour. I'm positive the gear box will be the first thing to let me down. But no point replacing it until it stuffed

i too have to say that the dump looks a bit small?? looks to be a 3" dump split into 2x3" system but would ahve thought you'd need something more like a 4" dump split into 2x3"... but if it works it works biggrin.gif

    fairly beasty mate.

good work... i owned a vy r8 with a to4z on it made 500hp good fun, one thing that lets your car down is
no fog lights dont know why people dont spend a little more time to go around them when doin the cooler piping like we did with my clubby its worth it

Even so, he should be able to trim the mounting brackets on the fog lights to make them fit...
I had to with my GenTT setup, everyone was asking how i kept my foggies in and it was just a matter of trimming out the brackets and leaving enough on it to still screw in smile.gif

Good package mate, who are you using to tune it?

    Vx_S_Dumped
    Post #26

I know have the fog lights in as stated the photo is of the charged setup. Hi torque did the tune. And will go to EFI as well

Plenty of boosted ls1 motors have been running for years with the only internal mod being upgraded valve springs, providing there not thrashed everyday and are maintained not running to much boost

So true . A lot make good numbers on less than 10psi. Then again it's the torque that makesvthem insane to drive

I run decent Tyres on the front. And the cheapest I can find on the rear no point sending money on something that won't last long !

Chequebook racing at its best is where $40K can easily be spent

The ASE and ls1turbo kits have proven themselves to be fine on stock motors. The original ls1turbo test vehicle racked up over 150,000km's of hard abuse without issue which for a sub $8000 kit + tuning/fueling etc, has always been great value.

My LS3 was being stuffed with 18psi on a stock bottom end with minimal money spent... now is a 418ci stroker with twin turbos, Fast 102 manifold pumping out 1300+rwHp on E85 and still have not even come close to forking out $25K let alone $50K
