Nice Buy HSV!

And jebby, That's a sweet idea, nice and clean look too. If you can get a mod plate for it then I'd imagine it would be legal.

Smart ass. I think i'll be going a milder cam in my next engine (not that its not fun to drive, because it is) but from the way his idles, it's definetly not any smaller than mine. Is off its head though!

Iunno aye, just throwing round ideas. If it happens, it happens. If not i'll play with the 434 a little. Maybe some gas. Or some boost and e85. Iunno. Gunna sort out the chassis first and this T56. And the interior.

Ash you didn't get that bonnet spear off eBay did you by any chance? I've seen one on there for AGES now and at first he had it for i think $200, latest i saw was $150. I thought it'd be fucking sweet to run one.. but just didn't see the need nor have the money for it.

Would love to get one one day though, before the one on ebay i'd never seen one before at all.

Even though they advertised them for your model, I am unsure they would fit. I have an HJ bonnet here, I will see if it fits up neatly for you Nick.

Long time since I've been on here. Never posted in here much but anyway.
Been driving around in this for the last few months while the Scorpion's off the road:

Horrendous paint aside, this thing has all of 80k km on it and runs and drives like a dream (except my Scorpion will outrun it, but that's not important). Interior's in great condition as well.
Anyway, accidentally elbowed the C-pillar a few weeks back and a large patch of paint/bog fell off. Like so:

This is bad in itself, but my question is: Is the weld you can see running through the middle of it normal?

Bog over weld = cut n shut job sad.gif

Note to self: cover it up before some bright spark from the highway patrol decides to pick on me for it :/

Could be a factory seam? Although they were usually leaded..

Actually i'm not sure what they did from the 80s onwards, since i never cared.

Ah the 80s , fantastic plastic
It could be a factory weld , or not ???
Give it a touch up with a flap wheel, smear a bitta bog over it , and a bitta paint
Thatll be good enuf

I went on a cruise with this bloke. I fucking love this car!

Insane car. The attention to detail is fucking immaculate. And it goes like a shower of shit!

If I knew it was going to sale I might have considered driving the alser for another couple of years and bought this instead of the bommodore.

Something for you holden lads
Mate has a set of 14x8 rears ,and 14x7 front
Polished jellybean mags
Tyres are 245 rears and 235 fronts
These were on his tonna, that he no longer has
He has asked me what there worth,so i forward it to you lads
The tyres are legal tread, and the wheels look good if that helps
So some ball park figures
I offered him $100 each for the rear tyres ,but he prefers to sell complete

Ideas ???

I reckon he should take me $200 , then flick the rest to some young kid for a carton, but hey thats me

nightcrawler
Post #1361

Hey Only has ford and nissans if the mags your mate has are Westerns or Magnums and are in good nick with no gutter rash with good tyres I have seen the same size rim/tyre combo go for upwards of $800 , not that I would pay that much , as I am tight as a fishes asshole .
