I would imagine the canard are functional they are genuine Vertex LANG canards made to fit the standard vertex front bar. I've never seen any wind tunnel results to prove that they work but they are very common in Japan. Personally however I chose them out of style.

I too am very keen to see what it will do at the track, sadly I haven't had much chance to get her out this year with the broken gear box and Im in no hurry at the moment to fix it due to being on a One point good behaviour period until next march facing a 10 month license suspension. So until then the Barina it is.

fair enough. got any aero worked out for the back end, or going to set some times as is before further mods? i personally wouldn't want to ruin the lines of the car with a spoiler haha

Handling wise I would LOVE to put a big spoiler on the back, but just can't bring myself to ruin the lines of the car.

I might look into some kind of under body rear diffuser but it has to be discrete it is a street car at the end of the day. But Im sure even just putting some really nice tyres on it would help a lot.

LOL I meant fix not sell in my above post.

Here is what see looked like when I bought her basically stock with a 3" exhaust (I've kept only the cat back), 19" Lenso wheels on very cheap Falken rubber band tyres and Pedders coil overs.

No way the Z32 box is about as strong as the R33 GTS-T box and has the same ratios but is about $400 cheaper than the Skyline box they see upwards of 500-550hp no problems there is no way the S14 box will take that.

3 things...

Loose cannon and replace with proper oval muffler. They sound 100x better
Loose tail lights and put stock back on
Hide catch can in bay because you will get fisted for emissions

Other than that very nice.

Yeah I pretty much have to go with a Varex muffler as it is way too loud now. Tossing up between the twin tip or the cannon.

Personally I just love the look and sound of the cannon (keep in mind it sounds much tougher and louder in real life I was just using average picture camera that had video recording so the sound isn't really ture to life) But yeah a twin tip Varex muffler would be ultimate stealth. I might look into putting larger twin tips on it or somthing. But I do like cannons, and in 5 years of owning the car it has never got me into trouble.

The tail lights I like again they look better in person, if I were to replace them they would be with Yashio Factory or Vertex LED lights. The Orange, yellow and Red of the stock lights don't go with the colour scheme.

The catch can is plumbed back into the intake. I have a plug and all the attachments to vent to atmosphere when it is at the track. But a plumbed back catch can is legal.

Yashio Factory LED lights

obey.

How could anyone not be a fan of S15's?? IMO your'e either in denial or you don't want to be seen as following the crowd. There's simply nothing to dislike about these cars

You are kidding right?

S13 / S14 / R32 box is piss.

Street Tuned
Post #51

The reason Im probably going the Z32 box is because you can get them out of NA 300zxs and they are the same box as the twin turbo model. They have almost exactly the ratios as the R33 box and are just as strong but MUCH cheaper.

The S14 box from memory has slightly shorter ratios but wont take that much of a beating.

101 has priced me about $3000 drive in drive out conversion for the Z32 box which is pretty good considering the work that needs to be done.

But I would love to keep the 6 speed but no after market gear set really seems worth it.

I like the taillights lol.
This is a very nice s15. I have the same frame of mind as street tuned. Cars to me seem better being mildy modified keeping them close to factory spec.
Have you lived in the same house for 5 years?

Z32 and RB25 Boxes are essentially the same on in the inside. Only RB boxes go for around $1300 - $1500 and only come out of turboed cars. Z32 boxes are around the $900 - $1000 mark and can come out of NA 300zx meaning they haven't had as much power running through them and therefore has a better chance of being in better condition.

Street Tuned - My hat goes off to you for your build. I've seen photos and a vid of your car going around and it's always impressed me. I have a Pewter S15 also and am going for understated mods. Mine is missing about 80kw over yours but I aspire to reaching your level one day. Respect smile.gif
