if P platers are not ment to be driving these.... why are there so many kickin round with P Plates...???? i live in a fairly wealthy area and most of the Provisional drivers here have them..... im guessing parents paid but thats besides the point... if they are not supposed to drive them... why are they...?? VE commodores originally came out with a 3.6L alloytec engine (called the LY7) this made 195kw in "hi-performance" aka SV6 trim. This is a p-plate legal engine in QLD as it is under 200kw. This was from 2006-2009. Holden then made an update to the VE range, introducing a 3.6L SIDI engine (called the LLT) this engine produces ~210kw and is therefore illegal for p-plates. SV6's have been equipped with these from 2009 - present. The kids in your area are either driving around 2006-2009 SV6's or they are absolute retards and are driving around a 2009+ SV6 that is also an uninsured vehicle. Were they to crash, they would not be covered for ANY damage caused to ANYTHING. |

If they were illegal P platers wouldn't be driving them. There has been so many discussions on them I personally can't remember what It that makes them fly below the radar maybe It's the SIDI because It helps more with fuel economy but only just pushes It over the 200kw with extra 15kw. You are straight out wrong. SIDI 210kw engines are illegal for p-platers. Like I said, if OP crashes this car, especially into something expensive, he is f*cked. |

how the fuck do p platers afford shit like this This I my first car was a 1983 Ke70 wagon that I paid $600 for in 2004. OT: Always loved poison Ivy was going to paint my old Vc in it. Then I looked at a new SS but bought a Colorado. Rims look good on it. If you want to know how holden go about delling these to P-platers pm Ralli. |

If they were illegal P platers wouldn't be driving them. LOL. P platers are driving them, MUST be legal then. They are not legal, not if's or but's. 200KW limit and these are over that, its simple. As already said, this only applies to the SIDI SV6's. Also its not exactly hard to get a new model car on P plates. Anyone with a job can get a loan. |
