you actually need a mod plate to get a shit load of power out of any engine .

You should re read what you just typed. You might realize how much of idiot you sound like. A metal blue plate isn't going to do shit to a power figure. Just make a few modifications legal.

Getting an exemption when you don't need one is a very selfish thing to do. High powered cars are restricted for a reason, notice how it's primarily people on their open license who are supporting this? Maybe as a young driver I can only see the danger of too much power because my uncle was killed by some kid going to fast. Hell, even my driving instructor was paralised in one arm because a P plater was acting the goat. Shit happens, maybe not to you, but it does to other people. Try considering the other 6 billion people on this planet before you think of yourself.

More on topic while doing a quick search i found this http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&sour..._-A&cad=rja .

Turns out 90% of applications for a high powered vehicle exemption get approved so to all the people saying he has no chance you are very wrong and should probably stop talking shit about things you know nothing about .

But if you read down the bottom, most got it because it was required for work.. OP just wants one because 'Oh my gawd uleh hektic turbo flutterz'

He bought/is buying the car because he wants an exemption, not because he needs one. There is no need for him to own a turbo car. He could just drive a fucking laser.

Umm, Are you serious? First off, he's inexperienced with a car ([P] plater), No one will insure him and if he hit you i think you'd be a little pissed about his lack of insurance, Without the exemption it's illegal and give a bad name to all P platers.

He doesn't need this exemption, He just wants it.

He should just suck it up and get a N/A car like every other law abiding P plater.

Lol...

Even if you don't drive like an idiot, accidents still happen. That's what insurance is for. No insurance company will insure a P plater with a turbo charged car. Even if they did, it would be outrageously expensive.

Why would you want a work exemption if you didn't need it? You can only drive the cars during work hours for work purposes. Good luck explaining why you are cruising around at 10pm on a friday night...

yes accidents do happen when driving slowly but the chances are much less then again if you driving a slow car slow or a fast car slow its going to be the same . i will happily drive a car with no insurance its just called actually being responsible for your actions . You do realise that insurance is actually a waste of money right its just like any other gambling but with insurance your betting you think your a worse driver than they think you are .

No further Replays need to be add especially from ill manners People who enjoy their day badmouthing people on forums, for little to no good reason.

Thanks.

Unless you have a genuine reason for needing the exemption, and with everything I have read in this thread, you don't, you won't get one. But hey if you do go for one and get it, then well done ..

Oh cool, we have dipshit lowbreed #2 in the house.

You do realise most exemptions get approved because people normally only apply if they actually NEED it, they're not some dumbass trying to make up every excuse under the sun why they think they should. If he gets approved for those reasons, well fuck it, you might aswell just abolish the laws and let everyone drive one. "Oh OP needs to get to work?" too bad, so does everyone else. "OP's family needs the other non-turbo cars?" Too bad, OP shouldn't have bought a turbo car like a cunt.

So you're saying that insurance was a waste for my father when our car was written off by a drunk driver (therefore their insurance was void) and they could not afford the replacement cost for our car? You're a type of cunt this would apply to, since I can see you hitting someone with no fucking insurance and being like "I didn't get insurance because I never crash". Dumbass.

And no, driving a fast car and a slow car are not the same. Do you think the government make the these for fun? Starting in an arbitrary place? The part of the brain used in decision making doesn't develop until a person is in their mid twenties, or this decision had been repeated until the point it becomes completely autonomous, which can take years. By driving a faster car (I don't give a fuck if you claim you drive it like you would with a slow car, beause you won't. Nobody does) you have less time to react, less time to make decisions.

And don't tell me that Fully s1k [P] platers won't try and speed and do h3t1c shit in their turbo cars. I don't care if you drive it slow normally. It just takes one moment of madness, with the car full of lowbreed flat cappers to get you all fuckin' killed.

are you all seriously that dumb , do you all really think a v6 vn commodore is a safer car than a r33 . Its the driver that crashes the car not the engine.
I think its sad that alot of the p plate drivers actually believe its not safe for them to drive a fast car how about a bit of confidence do they actually believe they dont have the coordination to control a car just because it has a bit of power .

I hear what your saying, and as much as i dislike flat caps, eminem, unit stickers and bad taste, i would rather you youngins have a chance at a full and prosperus life. You are right, its not the engine, its the car, and if i had it my way i would test every fucker individualy then restrict them on their abbility.

However, in many eyes, the common sence levels have been on a steady DECLINE, and you people are at the bottom. Therefore, taking into consideration the ammount of unskilled accident prone fuckwhit p platers on the road, the decision was made by the government to help those who cant help themselves, p platers.

QUOTE (zed32 @ Jun 2 2011, 10:38 PM) *

Can you expalain to me this :

v6 150 kw vt commodore .... safe
v8 180kw vt commodore .... ohh noooo omg people will die the extra 30kw a uncontrollable buy any one but a highly experienced driver
v6 210 kw ve commodore ... safe 30kw more again but this car is safe for every one

There is a mighty fucking chum load to suggest p platers cant handle anything more than an untuned, 3 cyl, diahatsu charade with the handbrake on. On the flip side, p platers themselves do not contribute 100% to the road incident listings, i am sure of that.

I had a quicker car than most of you p platers have been in on my, well we didnt have p's, but in my first 6 months of having my licence. And my old man made me do driving courses, he said if i want a dickhead car, i better learn how to drive like a dickhead. I never wrapped that thing around a pole, i never crashed it, i never acted like a tool. I paid my cash and spent my " Dickheadedness" at willowbank, improving my reaction times, and 1/4 mile times.

If you p platers really must have to have high powered vehicles, the government should put inplace a test.

You must complete 100hrs of defensive driving and other allocated courses. Paid for by yourselves

The car must be in 100% roadworthy condition. Paid for by yourselves.

Speed limited to 100k's.

1 strike and your out, NO EXCUSES!

Fully comprehensive insurance must be accuired. Paid for by yourself.

No passengers for the first 6 months.

A list of approved higher powered vehicles similar to lams.

if you look at insurance on a person by person basis yes you will find some examples of people who went well from having it but many more of people who never get anything from it . The insurance companies are there for profit like every other company so they obviously have to charge more than there paying out , theres really no argument to this thumbsup.gif .
Dont " low breed flat cappers" as you call them normally choose to crash a vn with cut springs anyway .

Fucking bravo...No shit, insurance companies are a business. The aim of successful business is to make money.

At the end of the day, I've never crashed a car in the 3+ years I've had a license. But if someone without insurance had crashed into my $30,000 350Z, do you think I'd have the money to pursue the matter in court? What if the person who hit me can't pay the replacement value of my car? I've got my insurance as exactly that; Insurance against something I can't really afford to happen.

The main reason i have insurance is not for myself, it's for all the other dipshits on the road.

Don't tell me you are really that stupid. I would laugh so hard if there was a 5 car pile up in front of you and u ran up the arse of a 300k merc or something, guess who has to foot the bill? You. And before you say that I would be traveling with enough distance, that only applies if the car infront is braking not just stops dead

Or a kid walks out infront of you, you swerve to miss and hit a couple of parked cars. Or if a uninsured car hit you, yeah sure you could take them to court but if they claim bankruptcy you are up shit creak. Accidents happen mate, that's why they are called accidents. The gamble is not having insurance.

You dumb fuck, no car with any amount of power is safe, its all on the driver, and if the driver wants to be a dumb fuck (faget kids just got their licenses looking for other P plates to beat their chests to), then the car becomes a weapon. And to say that there's nothing to show young drivers cant handle power, are you fucking lobotomized or what?! Look at the @#$! that pioneered the P plate power laws!

EVLR34 AND THE OWNER'S DUMB FUCK OF A SON!

Doing 200kmh in a 50 zone to be a sick @#$!, and kills himself and his passengers. I'm pretty sure he owned an R33 GTR that he totalled before that.

A while ago, I had a cocky kid with a stupid smirk trying to race me in his lime green milo tin Corolla on the Hume Hway, and guess what I was driving? An 87 Nissan Pathfinder.

An acquaintance from school got an S15 turbo when he got his L's, and then when he got his P's he was driving it to school. He tried to be a sick @#$! and step out coming out of the bus bay after being a poserfag. He went into the kerb. We laughed and didn't help.

And then right after those 2 guys racing on the Gt Western killed the old couple, I had an FTO at the time, driving home by myself, and waddayano? A faget P plater in a 300ZX sits alongside me and starts revving his car. A week after the old couple were killed, and not even 5km from where it happened (cops everywhere for over a year after the crash). I was yelling at this @#$! to fuck off before I smash his head in at the next set of lights.

These are 3 examples of many P plate cockheads being P plate cock heads.

Point is, you dumbass kids have no experience with driving or life in general, you think you do because you're all naive and think you're invincible. Too fucking stupid to learn from other people's mistakes before you make the mistake. Do the time accordingly, gain experience needed to operate high powered vehicles, do advanced driver courses, whatever it takes to discipline you lot and erase the arrogance and naivety.

I smirk when I see P platers wrapped around poles by themselves on the news.

theres only one exemption ive heard of actually being accepted and that was by my mates younger brother

he was working as a detailer for metro ford (i think, or one of them) and part of his job was to drive cars from the depot to the dealership. being a p-plater, it would have meant he wasnt able to drive the xr6 turbo, xr5 turbo, any of the FPV (all v8's) or even the turbodiesel ford rangers. He managed to get the exemption pretty easy as his boss wrote an accompanying letter stating the exemption was needed because if it wasnt granted, he would most definitely have his position terminated. Even in such case, the letter had to be on paper that had the company header logo on it and a full business phone number. The receptionist told him jokingly, "yep, we've had the people in with a scrunched up foolscap page that looks like its been ripped out of their own high school exercise book, with some barely legible sob story that could have been written by anyone".

If you have no insurance and you hit someone causing an injury to them, you could be up for a civil law suit. Even third party insurance covers you up to $20 million incase this happens. If you're not covered and you get sued for $5 million, you're going to have no choice but to declare yourself bankrupt at the ripe age of 18. You know what that means? You can't get a credit card, you can't get a home loan, essentially you can't get shit because people will see you financial background and tell you to fuck off.

You can't have the attitude that "I'm never going to crash", that's like going into battle saying "I'm not going to die". Experienced drivers crash, race drivers crash, even fucking cops crash sometimes. Sometimes shit happens that you just can't control and that's what insurance is for.
