I have to disagree. I see no point in a semi overtaking in the right lane with lots of traffic around. My reasoning is this I as a paramedic am sick and tired of ignorant truck drivers sitting in that damn right lane when there is no need for them to be there. When I need the right lane when going lights and sirens they don't move out of the way or they some times can't because theres no room for them to get in to the left lane.

Yeha semi's shouldnt use the right lane in heavy or even medium traffic i reacon, its harder for them to merge back to the left, espically when c0ck head drivers dont think to let them in. Mothers day was a nightmare ont he M1... Everyone wanted to be int he right lane, but didnt want to do the limit, then when they do deicide to do the limit, they slow do to rubberneck some accident thats like a busted tail light! fuckers!!!!

Today I was driving on kessels road, the truck driver was driving in the right lane, I go to overtake him on the left he swerves into the left I go to overtake him on the right he swerves into the right, I try again on the left, he swerves into the left again and then I finally got passed him on the right, my mate was just yelling at him at the red light. Seriously get the fuck out the way and keep left!!!

On the subject of semi's, 100% of semi drivers I've seen in the last week (which is more than 5 but less than 7) have been on their mobile phone. Between that and constantly running VERY red lights (i.e. the intersecting lights have already changed to green before the truck even begins to turn across) I've conceded trucks are a law unto themselves.

I have so many wanker traffic stories but here are a few of my most hated :

Drivers who think TURNING their indicator on gives them right of way!! One flash then they start pulling into my lane.

Drivers who don't know give way laws, This includes when merging, giving way to trucks and how to use a goddamned roudabout!! If I can work out a roundabout, I don't see that it can be too hard.

and finally,

People who can't park between the designated lines. I don't know how this chick managed it but I parked my car at woollies (my s2k, small car). When I came back to my car, I couldn't actually get into it because the woman beside me had managed to get her front drivers wheel over the line on that side and her rear passenger wheel over the line on my side. All without hitting my car but left me with less than a foot of space to get into my drivers door. So I waited, thankfully didn't have to wait long, to have a go at her, and she had the hide to call me a self righteous bitch!!!!

Oh it shits me no end. Every time I wash my car, I find new dings or scratches. All of which, most likely, from dickheads in shopping centre carparks. Be it with their car doors or leaving trolleys laying about. I actually saved some persons car from a runaway trolley one day!!

Meh truck drivers are alright. If they were cruising in the left lane you'd complain about them too fast and people seem to think they have the same braking distance as a car and accelerate just as easily.

Yep that's why in carparks I always try and park away from everyone, the further walk is worth it. I don't even drive a new or expensive car but I often see the little respect people have for others property by just opening their door right into someones car.

Exactly what I do too! But as 02GZM said, I'll park like 7 spaces away from the nearest car, be gone for 5 minutes and then when I come back there's a friggin land cruiser inches from my drivers door! Happens all the time and is so bloody annoying! Why can't they just park in one of the 5 car parks that is not directly next to another car? My car is obviously alone because I want it to be. I didn't just blindly keep driving 7 spaces past the first free carpark I saw before diving into free no. 7 going, "shit that was lucky I saw this park." Gah it pisses me off

I'll park where this is no one, usually as far away as you can get cause I have yet to master the art in getting in and out the recaros with out nakering myself. But when i get back to my car there is alway some fool parked as close as possible to me.

Felt like everyone was out to get me today on the way home from work

1) Driving Eastbound along the Logan Motorway where the Gateway exit is, an unmarked MR truck cuts me off changing from left into middle lane. I try and go right to avoid the truck, but their is a car next to me, so I have to pull back and absolutely hammer the brakes to avoid hitting the truck.

2) Driving North along Ewing Road at Woodridge, am following some cars which aren't going anywhere near the speed limit probably going barely 45 km/h. I see a pedestrian which obviously wants to cross on the crosswalk, so I press the brakes firmly, but not overly rapidly. Still nearly had someone run up my ass, who obviously wasn't paying attention to to the pedestrian about to cross.

After the William Jolly bridge, where you need to be in the left hand lane to go straight, this cock-head daredevil decided that he would somehow manage to squeeze his bus between the island, and the front of my car (which is certainly not small). I had to hit the brakes hard just to avoid the back of his bus taking out my front end. This is in a school bus full of school kids (not a mini-bus, an actual BUS).
