cool on doing the floors... sounds like it needs a bit of work eh? the premier I bought is a nice bit of gear. 12000 miles on the clock and completely original. 202 column auto bench seat deal. it is dublin green metallic with antique saddle trim with cloth inserts. I have ordered new carpet from tru-fit with that resomat sound deadener too so that should be here next week. I am getting a white roof painted on getting the grampa shade colour-matched also. will get body sorted with a 2 pac doors-closed respray in same body colour. will put a pic up later. the doors need a little tlc, and so do the doglegs and one side of the rear quarters. the floor is just perfect and the panels are pretty straight for a 1972 model car. I drove it home from slacks creek on friday in peak traffic and it was just georgeous to drive.... shame really to drop it on it's guts and take that away!! will have the injected 3.3 in it soon. Wonder how it would go with a 3.0L SIDI engine in it |

Leave the 202 in there , then ya have a legitimate excuse why ya get whipped by a mazda 2 So decided to remove the ladder bar setup, bit to dangerous for street driving. Trying to decide what setup to run now. 1) Hotchkis performance springs and swaybars with a caltracs traction bar. 2) SpeedTech Torque Arm system. 3) RideTech Air Ride system. Looks pretty impressive. Goes up in price with the three, but from what I can see, also goes up in quality / adjustability / handling. Wasn't going to bother with this until it was atleast registered, but I don't really wanna die. |

wow... did it hardly ever get driven? think it may have clocked itself over the years as it is 39 this year. mind you, the service sticker states that next service should be done at 12000 or sometime during 2009... so I would say sometime in 2008?? so it is now up to 12400 something, not many miles in around 3 years!! here it is: this is the ad pic: interior: btw, original radio still works... as does the fuel guage (unheard of!) everything works. rear seat: no more holdens, I would much rather keep it 202... have had cars with power, thats why I never drove a ford. |

It would be a shame to modify it, as its in an unbelievably good condition. no big modifications, just low and slow........ nice stock fuel injected motor for smooth driving etc...... clean paint and possibly some airbag work down the track. I want it to be the quietest car I have ever driven. |

Hey, nice score Ash - looks like a REAL nice car. Sounds like you've got similar plans for it as I do for my new Val ...low and slow daily driver! Have fun with it! Phill Hey Phill. yer, just want a cool daily. the kids just love it and the Monaro was a little too angry for the younguns for the moment, so this will be really quiet and coast along. it actually sat really well at 100 clicks on the way home, was a little suprised at just how well it drove. really I just need a car so I don't take away from the wife and kids when I have to go do a story or something for SM... need something with a bit of street cred if you are writing for a mag that big eh?!! although it will be stocko it will look the part for a cool driver. |

Jordan, look up TCI for the Torque Arm rear end. Their camaro recently won a handling challenge. And they are well priced and good to deal with. I ordered my shit through Tim's Hotrods. Cheers man, will look into it. Also got told about the Chris Alston G Link from a guy on USM. So many different options... so much money. 'spose I better get some new wheels now that the suspension will be working, too. |

So find out about the Monaro this week, bank has stuffed around the purchasers so I'm playing the waiting game. I'm still chasing a HR/Hk/HG/HT or HQ sedan too, I've found a HQ sedan but it's just a small amount outside my budget and the owner won't budge. Big Block should be finished this week, if the Monaro sells, more than likely it will go up for sale which will finance the hoist in the shed among a few other things. $$$? You can PM me if you want - know of a guy who's building up a car that may be interested. |
