Cheers for the replies everybody!!! Your all awesome! Very nice mate hope you don't put that tacho in though! Needed a tacho so I can watch my donk sing its merry tune to 8000rpm . But really its a Speco I got off ebay cheap and I need something to gauge the idle and tuning of the carbs.mate woked old school carbie > injected turbo motor, love your work, the induction noise must be awesome! FTW!what is with the xr6 material seats? looks like it is coming along as a good project. keep it up The material was cheap and accessible at the time. I didn't want to go with black vinyl throughout, so the trim was used in the seat centres the whole roof lining and the top of the door trims.

oh yer go the twins, have you tried fitting a spacer under the engine mount to give some more clearance to fit that last trumpet. |

thanks man, where abouts do you live? i dno but 20mm is achivable for a spacer, that would probably give you 30mm more space at the carbs. what size trumpets are they? could bring your power down the range with shorter ones. I live out at Beaudesert. Not far from the coast. I'll have a look at the spacer option. The issue is going to appear at the gear box mount where there isn't a great deal of play. I'm using 40mm rams. The set I got was second hand and cheap. I haven't been able to source shorter ones. I know the shorter the runner length the lower the torque range. Not overly concerned with performance till I can get it tuned on the dyno and work out where improvement is required. |
