1973 J&S Beach Buggy

This buggy is in immaculate condition and has been completely rebuilt from the ground up over a period of 7 years while holding rego. The car is registered as a 2 seater beach buggy. These short wheel base 2 seater buggies are very rare as it is near impossible to get them registered. Every inch of this car has been touched and has been tastefully modified into a unique one of a kind Volkswagen beach buggy. This buggy started its life as a genuine J&S buggy and transformed into this with the following modifications.

- The shell has been cut down the sides and widened 100mm on each side.

- Custom lockable boot lid with spoiler

- Custom fabricated side skirts and strengthened brackets

- Fuel tank customised to the front of the vehicle and is mod plated

- Full new wiring harness

- Full custom roll cage with mod plate

- Custom fabricated seats trimmed in black leather

- Interior trimmed in marine grade ivory vinyl and marine grade black carpets including ivory trimmed gauge inserts.

- Sony Xplod headunit and 4x 6? xplod 3 ways

- Custom candy apple red over silver base coat

- Wheels and tires include 295/50/R15 on the rear and 195/60/R14 on the front. All new with 100% tread

- Wheels are in gloss 2 pac black with chrome lip.

- New custom windscreen and glass

- New chrome headlights, indicators etc

- Floorpan has been completely sandblasted, rustproofed and resprayed.

- Extended widebody rear swing axles and new adjustable height H bar on front which raises and lowers 150mm

- Nudge bar on front

- New tie rods

- New steering rubbers

- Machined rod mirrors

- Motor is a 1600 rebuilt and had minor work done but enough to get the heart pumping. Was built around a chrome dress up kit.

- 3000kms since rebuild.

- Worked cam

- VDO Volkswagen gauges

- New everything including regulater, rebuilt carby, coil, new dizzy and leads, plugs, condenser, generator, starter motor etc

yes i have been busy putting the car on carsales dunno.gif not sure where u were going with that one. as far as the price goes, the short wheeler/ 2 seaters generally range between $25k and $35k.....depending on work done, also keeping in mind the fact that a short wheel base beach buggy can no longer be registered even if they have been registered previously. hence why i have paid rego for the 7 years it has been off the road and why there are very few registered 2 seater SWB buggies left. thanks for your input though bud, your opinion is your opinion. This car is more of a lifestyle, and the person that buys it is the type of person that is chasing that lifestyle.
