Engine: Stock 2grfe

Exhaust: Stock, resonator delete

Suspension: Stock, lowering soon, coilovers a few months away

Wheels: 19x8.5 PDW C-16

Modifications: Interior LED lighting, spoiler removal, gunmetal grey badge, eyelids, sports grille, just little things like that

Stereo Audio / Visual: Stock

Estimated Power: 204kw (Run on 98 Octane)

So, here it is, nothing real special, a bit different from the usual commodores and such, just a few bits and pieces, I've only had it for 2 months now, took it down the 1/4 mile and my best was a 14.76, I felt it was fairly good for a completely stock large family car, I know they can run 14.5's stock, just need to learn how to launch properly

What it looked like when bought

What it will look like

What it looks like now, I know you boostcruisers love your UNIT stickers

No, it's not really like that, more like this

You're right about Varrstoens, I do want them... Te37's if I had the money, but in the meantime I bought the current wheels second hand really cheap, not sure about ducktail, I'll probably be putting the spoiler back on

Coilovers are coming soon, and for show I'll be investing in a set of Te37 replica's with negative offset and negative camber

    Agreed.

Just because you have a car and your into the "car scene" doesnt mean you have to modify. Save cash for a project insted and drive this the way it should be?

Then why modify any car then? should we all just buy a (insert stupidly common import here) and modify that?
funny thing is, a stock aurion is probably quicker than half of the cars on here, and they can handle quite we'll if done properly.
I say props to OP for doing something different.

I was behind one the other day and got to thinking about the name.
I think it's kinda cute the way that manufacturers who want to draw a certain demographic, but not have to live up to the expectations of the word "sports" find a way around it.
    Hence "sportivo", "sportage", etc.

Fuck off. Do BC a favour and don't post again you spastic.

Commodores, Falcons, etc are all the same. They were released as family cars and then the bogan collective got hold of them.

The Sportivo is the equivalent of an SV6 or something slightly more upmarket. OP has every right to modify this in any way he sees fit and frankly I'd prefer to see 10000 of these before 1 of the fucking shitbox busted ass VN/S/R/T/X/Y/Z or Falcon equivalent fucking chrome taillighted, bad bodykitted, fucking shit exhausted, overly tinted, stupidly larged stereo'd, fuckwit driven, dickhead-mobile that I see all over the roads.

I fuckin' love these and the newer shape Camry and I'm glad someone's done a decent job of modifying one.

OP, keep it coming mate, love your work.

doesn't look too bad man, like those wheels, and it is good to see something other then a commodore of falcon or typical import on here for once i must laugh at the guys who bag out this and commos and falcons though, have you seen the amount of skylines out there?

if your on a budget get grids(everyone hates them because they are replicas but they arent a bad wheel) but i think they look better then te37s cause of the extra dish, mate has s15 on te's and other mate has 33 on grids and id go grids unless i was doing track work. This could be pretty cool, get the ducktail, stock spoilers are shit
    list
    coilovers
    rims
    ducktail

Well, Haters gonna hate everyone, when people say "Why modify an Aurion?" all I will say in return is "Why modify a Commodore/Falcon/Skyline/Lancer/Excel?" This is all personal choice, I've always liked Toyota's, especially the new Camry's/Aurion's, I'm just one for less mainstream cars, If i had a modified Commodore, it wouldn't be unique at all, because it's been done before... Done before way too many times as well

I purposely bought this car because it's not a mainstream car to modify, but it has the characteristics to be. It's a quick car stock, faster than the SV6 and Xr6, there's more car brands out there than Ford/Holden you know and all car makes/models can be modified in anyway seen fit by the owner, I knew that alot of people wouldn't like this, but I couldn't care less, I love this car to bits, it's reliable, comfortable, relatively quick, even great on fuel and I think it has good looks to top it off as well, for the price, it's a great car, too bad if people don't like it... I will modify it as much as I want to... Deal with it

To all the positive feedback, thanks for not being so narrow minded, I appreciate it

Even though I drive a Commodore I think it's good you have gone for something a bit different. I've always liked these to be honest.

If I had one though I would convert it to RWD, and put in a Lexus V8. :oopsie:

Anyway keep it up mate. It's your car. Do whatever you like to it. :oopsie:

Don't know about your logic there champ.....why would you remove the 2gr and put something heavier, that makes less power in it's place?

If we're still talking about the 5.0L in the IS-F? I've always like the Toyota/Lexus V8s for whatever reason. Not really sure why.

^ Dunno if you guys realise how much that would cost to convert it to RWD, let alone engine swap it (Wouldn't understand why, the 2grfe does the job quite nicely with 200kw)... I'd get a Lexus if I wanted a RWD... Oh and if I could afford one too
