mate i have tough dog shocks in my patrol so does my brother in his GU. we thought they were a little over priced for what they are.the adjustments on them are great tho i rate them.i only run mine on 3 and 4 round town but when off road just wind them right off for a soft ride. have u checked out dobinson shocks? they are a cheaper option and still have good performance.

Just gave my set old set of EFS extremes away yesterday, they were good shocks a little stiff but good oh and short, pretty short shock.

I dont really buy into the tough dog marketing personally, if your doing any tough wheeling expect them to blow out, seems to be pretty common on the big wagons. have two close friends running them on landcruisers and both happy with them, however they dont really know anything else/cant compare. Id buy the ranchos though, even though they probably come out of the same factory ? the only way to really know which one is better is to get a look inside one and that's unlikely for the average joe, so do what suits your budget, they are both just average lower mid range shocks. ;)

Offroad Boss are the way to go. They have two comp trucks they run their gear on, so it is all tried and tested. Great service and always happy to give some advice if needed. Their pricing is on par with Rancho/Tough Dog. Well worth a look.

I run a set of them in my 80.. 820mm front and 1000mm rear.. seem to be good shocks for price, $250 a pop for those big sizes

The ends of boss shocks are screwed in, that way they are easily converted from eye to pin etc etc. What happened to mine was that the ends had never been loctited in and the end fell off one, it Fucked the shock cos it smashed into the chassis. They replaced it no probs.

Myself and a mate has been running the older blue and the new grey and never had a problem besides the one I've mentioned.

coil overs are a waste of time in ur car mate, I wouldnt even bother with my car.

A lot of stuffing round to get tuned, and coil overs are your springs as well so that means u would have to link ur arse end. doubt they would work with IFS easily.

Should be getting the boss shocks next pay day or two.
Will post photo's when they come, Would anyone sugest 4inch shocks with a 3 inch leaves?
Herd that it was a real good setup on one of these forums, has anyone else had experience with this?
Cheers
