Bit of a bump, just bought a Sun visor for my Kingswood for $100 off ebay. Needs a repaint, but no rust and all the stainless and acorn nuts are all in perfect mint condition. Pretty stoked on it.

Just got back from bundy, had a look at a 69 Camaro. Big block 468. Auto, etc etc. Turned out to be a insanely bored out 396 which didn't seem too healthy going by the oil dripping down the rocker cover out of the breather.. A fuckload of bog and cracks in the paint which wasn't very well hidden. Floor had been fiberglassed in the states and they didn't even try cover it with body shultz. Drivers side was sagged down and hitting the subframe connector...... Also didn't seem like the claimed 550hp.. Maybe i'm expecting a bit too much. Iunno..

But, it looked fucking tough, had a few good pieces, sounded insane and probably would have got jaws dropping.. But not mine..

No good mate, was a damn shame about that SS too, oh well, guess the search continues.

In other news, Monaro is on EGay now, shitload of interest but mainly tyre kickers it would seem.

Saw another GTS/4 at swap meet yesterday which was in very average condition, faded paint, seats all round needed recovering, rear parcel tray and door trims needed recovering, was bog stock apart from a freshly built 308, offers had been given at $15k, was a damn average car to say the least, pretty confident mine should sell no worries.......

I am picking up my visor tomorrow, just won a set of 2" lowered LH/LX Torry springs for the rear of my car.. and got given..

1 x Set of Statesman Hubcaps
2 x HJ Steelies
1 x Set of Chrome scuff plates
2 x Front Fenders
Bunch of random other stuff.

From Phil (Racerphil).

Have a 'Roadrunner' aftermarket cover that looks good, and would really only need a clean; from all the oil  to bring it up to specs

There will be something in the future to replace it, for now a family issue needs resolving so she has to go.

It's only a short term thing though so hopefully wont be out of a vehicle for long.

Am selling minus the BBC though so I have a tough engine sitting here which I will slot into something...........

Oh, fair enough. Sorry to hear it has to go. Atleast it will be replaced soon enough though!

As I was reading that last sentence, I thought you were going to say "which will be up for sale" and got a little excited :bowrofl: haha. ah well, back to the procharger for me!

So has anyone got a brake proportioning valve? Have got one installed on the rear brake lines, but have no idea how to set it up apart from trial and error testing... which doesn't seem overly safe.

How many cubes? I'm going to start looking for a 502 block soon :P Then build a real engine and box over a year or so. 572 with a hairdryer off the side B) (But probably just a cammed 572, either way i'll be happy)

wb - How much longer have you got left mate?

So if anyone knows of someone (most likely a P-Plater or someone after cheap rego) after a worked 250 crossflow XB sedan, let me know. Details of it are here: https://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index....howtopic=603621

Engine was rebuilt a few months ago, gearbox has to be warmed up til it decides to go into 3rd (once it does, it's fine from there on), couple of little rust spots under the paint etc etc.
Might look at fixing the gearbox sometime.

Was originally planning on keeping it as a daily, however, after thinking about it properly for a while, I'd probably be better off with something else that can also double as a tow car.

Not advertising it anywhere at the moment as I'm not in a rush, just if you know of anyone. Still deciding, might end up keeping it and changing it around.

Good luck getting it regoed :P

Mines a 468 with a dickload of work done to it atm.

Not a massive fan of the tonners and to be honest I want something that I can take the whole family in, might even look at a cruise car, a custom of some description, and build another Q on the side.

Nice, the dude who owned the camaro i looked at on the weekend gave me a weird look and pointed to the 396 badge when i asked if it was a 468... As advertised. He had nooo idea. Like, it had forgies cause it slapped when cold but i find it hilarious that someone can spend that much money and not know whats inside.
