not hard at all, just a little elbow grease and some spare time, a nice clean afterward and she should be right to go.
Cost would depend on the car/materials required etc, pm sent

There would probably be an issue with heat, and this sounds very unorthodox/borderline stupid, but could this product (i'm thinking CF look) be used on wheel spokes rather than painting them (because it reversible opposed to painting them)?

I'm not sure I want to paint my Volks, their to valuable to mess up. Is this an alternative, what are your thoughts?

Hey GTOX

I'd say it would be quite difficult to wrap the spokes of a rim, the flat surfaces would be fine, but because they have such hard edges it would be extremely difficult, it may be possible using a normal wrapping vinyl (ie: the matte black) but the cf vinyl wouldn't work as it is quite a lot more rigid.
But like i said, it should work fine on the flat surfaces of the rim.

How does it go with cleaning it man? Does it hold dirt? I have always wondered that about matt finish cars. I know its probly different than paint.

Pretty easy, just a wash mitt and some soapy water really, just don't scrub too hard or you can scratch/mark the vinyl, but most stuff comes off really easily, most of the time, i just carry some meguiars quick detailer or a spray bottle with some soapy water in it and just spray on and wipe off with a cloth.
Works really well,

It does start to look dirty really quick, but to the same token, it cleans off just as fast.

UPDATE after quite some time

Ok guys, bit of an update here,
Finally solved my problem with the foam on the door skins, the best solution was to take the skin off the door, and lay it flat, then with a scuffing pad scrub the crap out of it until the foam eventually all came off (forgot to get pics of it at that stage)
after that, a blade around the edge took off any of the excess bits in the recess.

Also, before i attacked the foam i figure, whilst the door skin is off i might as well wrap the window controls and also the triangles in the corners of the door where most people mount a tweeter.

TRIANGLE

PASSENGER WINDOW CONTROLS

This is what the drivers door looks like at the moment, with all of the excess foam all over it, Horrible! (will attack this door tonight)

Then, these (and a scuffing pad that i forgot to include in the pic)

Added together =

And all back together retrimmed skin with carbon-ized window trims and triangles

Stay Tuned!

They sure are, I believe they are known as Grenade GX01's, 18x9 +20 all around,
I bought this particular pair from Marlin on SAU (i believe he is on here too, top dude Ben is)
He told me they were on what is now the black Advan/Hi-Octane 34 gtr before it underwent its amazing transformation into a time attack beast

Thanks mate,
It's quite durable, admittedly it does get the occasional stone chip, but for the most it holds up quite well, also there are now even stronger more durable vinyls available now than before, quite a bit more expensive though.
That said, this stuff has proven to be great so far.
