Well that would be the reason it don't sound/go as good as it should Bro . with your mods a 2 and a quarter inch system would be the minimum size . I also had a new muffler fitted on Friday to the Z sedan , she is running a very mild reco twootwo and has already got a 2.5 inch system fitted , had it fitted with a Redback muffler with a central inlet and a offset outlet straight through design , no baffle in the middle . sounds good goes good . But will sound better when the 8 goes in . Lol |

2&1/4 should be heaps. 2.5 is probs overkill. my twin 2.5 on the Monaro was supposed to be good for up to 500HP.... but then again, when the twin 3's went on it really woke it up!! I bought another Q'ee as a daily for next year. Nick is going to come and do some rust repairs on it and I sold the 253, trimatic etc... to a painter for part-trade on a paintjob on it. car is really pretty clean, but this is how I want it to look: colour is VE 'crush' gold, wheels are american racers 17X7 &17X8 will be running an injected 3.3 from a VK commo and trimatic on the column. grampa shade and venetian waddaya think? (btw... a mate chopped the colour on it for me) you got a link for those wheels? |

Quick question - are all you guys running the stock heater box/ demisters on your cars? |

Mate the heater cores fail all the time as the rest of the cooling system is 16 psi and the heater core is rated at about 8 psi , just remove core and just use the fan to demist the windscreen , takes longer but even down here in tassie it still works . As for a 2.5 inch exhaust being overkill on a 202 , yes for my set up a 2 and a quarter would probably be fine , but a single 2.5 inch system sounds the goods and I will be able to use some of it again when the 8 goes in . |

I'd love to be able to do that as I honestly don't think I've ever used it (put that anti mist spray on my windows and never had any issues), but I think the rule is you need to have some form of heated air to demist the windscreen and I'm trying to keep it as legal as possible. |

Yeah the anti fog stuff made by the same mob that makes rainx is good shit , my question is have you ever had a cop check your demister pumps out warm air ? I know i never have , if the answer is No stress less and rip the core out . |

I know i never have , if the answer is No stress less and rip the core out . Anti fog is fucked now, it used to work but whatever formula they have now is shit house. I run 2 x 12v demisters tucked up underneath the dash on a switch in the Monaro. My heater box area is blanked out with a piece of stainless sica'd on by the look of it. |

Jordan, I ripped mine out because of the hoses when I put the new motor combo in!!! Anti fog is fucked now, it used to work but whatever formula they have now is shit house. If im not mistaken, its exactly the same as rainex original now. It used to smell different now they smell the same . I had one bottle of the 'old style' and then the next bottle was different. Either way I still buy each of them. |

That's the kind of set up I'm chasing! How do you find them? Do they actually work? Ebay etc. NFI if they work when driving, they turn on when I flick the switch but have never used them Jordan, I ripped mine out because of the hoses when I put the new motor combo in!!! Autobahn sell a little heater fan thingo with can sit up under your dash which I just ziptied to the windscreen duct. I kicked it when fucking with the stereo and it broke the duct so now it resides under my seat. Only need to have air forced onto the windscreen, not heated. If im not mistaken, its exactly the same as rainex original now. It used to smell different now they smell the same . I had one bottle of the 'old style' and then the next bottle was different. Either way I still buy each of them. Similar to my setup, just pointed up through the vents into the windscreen area. |

Straight gas can work well if the motor is set up for it camshaft , hardened valve seats , higher compression ( as high as 11 to 1 ) . Only down side is on a cold winter day they can freeze up and if your out of town some servo's don't have gas , no gas no go . |

Pulled over to help another Kingswood one day only to find out that the gas system had frozen up. Except it was middle of summer. I don't have a clue how, was like 35 degrees! Must have had a leak , when LPG escapes it gets bloody cold , cold enough to form ice . go crack open a gas bottle a bit and hold something in front of it ( not a lite match ) . |

If there is a blockage in the cooling system or it is low on water/coolant it can freeze the gas chamber causing the car to stop. |

I have had HEAPS of gas cars over the years, and as soon as I can afford it my new HJ daily will also be on gas...I reckon its the BEST fuel for daily driven cars. |
