Pics will have to wait til tomorrow, it's raining too much outside and I'm nice & cosy Unfortunetly it's not overly rare these days, but has been my favourite for as long as I can remember so I'm happy to finally have one (sounds kinda stupid given that I'm only 21, but anyway...) - 1968, American, 402 big block - should give you a pretty good idea, haha. I'm pretty much one of those guys that thinks muscle cars should keep with muscle car kinda wheels, not a fan of big chrome wheels on them. I never realised how small the market is though (or atleast appears to be to me). The only exception I've found so far are Fikse FM5's which come in 17" and 18" - range from $800-$1000 per wheel. But I still want to see what other old school styles I can find. What are they GTS/rallie ones like? i quite like those show wheels look good polished or grey, price is about $320 each, sizes are 17' to 20" in the older cars |

So this week I picked up the new project, freshly imported from the US. Currently planning out everything which led me to start looking at wheels. What. The. Fuck. Does no one make anything decent anymore? All I can find is POS 20" billet wheels that look like aids. Can anyone recommend some decent muscle car style wheels? The missis runs Hustlers ( i think) and no 3 kids (boys is enough ) |

So i was offered a swap for my 99 accord that i have for sale (this is boost, after all. swaps city). wasnt too bad tho - a 63 chevy belair in need of a paintjob with some rust work. 327, glide. Going to have a look at it on monday. had a retrim in the late 90s but i dont think its stood the test of time too well so we will see. |

Its a four door - pillared. So probably the least sought after. But it is the 327 not the 283 or whatever they came out with, and has a two speed glide in it. Honestly i know next to nothing about chev motors and boxes etc, and even less about belairs/impalas so im not sure where to take it. |

Four door and pillared is fine. Build it like that car in the pic and it'll be fucking rad. You could even import 2dr rear quarters from the states, and coupe front doors and do a 2dr conversion. Theres a bloke on the HAMB who did an amazing job on a Chrysler, and also another on a '55 Chevy. |

take some photos and email them through dude. I wouldn;t mind a look. Yeah i can do one better - he has pm'd me some so i will forwrd it to you now, dan. Needs work for sure - paint job is a MUST, but the interior is good and it was a daily driver til it was pulled off the road for a respray 2 yrs ago that was never finished. Its a complete with all good chrome etc. Also - my XB is a 4speed column manual 250. I want to convert it to a 4speed floor shift 351. I figure the hydraulics are all there, and pedal box etc - would you or your brother be able to give me some advice on what i will need to get it done? Can i use the existing gearbox? |

knowing you, knowing a little of the engine going in, the gearbox in it now, won't last and neither will the diff. |

Im really gunning for the 4spd manual option. I figure an XB falcon with a 351 four speed and four wheel discs is as close as ill get to a GT, and i bought this one specifically with that in mind. |

I know there are things like convo pros, but they've been done to death. Weld pro-stars / cragars etc but none really grab me. Is there anything else out there or do I have to wait til the massive billet wheel fad is over. Oh, and have a set of Weld draglites already so can't suggest them and originals are out of the question. jump on the rocket website. Vpw isn't too bad by memory either. but you'll need your back spaces ete to figure out which ones you'll need. Oh and how much did that set ya back!? My bro is importing from the states, but i don't want to sell the xb, lol. |

bell housing, clutch and flywheel. The slave cyl may be the only other differant. tail shafts should mate up as should do the gear box yolk. Give larry a buzz. pm if ya need his number. speaking of gt spec, he may have some globes for sale too! hmmm nah im after the widened stockos look for some reason - will sit well with the copper bronze metallic/white roof paint (factory paint). Ive got larrys number, might have to get in touch with him shortly, but theres no real point to bother him just yet. Dan have a glance in the 'swap meet' thread - if there is anything you think he has that im after or will need, let me know! |

So I decided to replace my 'straight through' muffler with my other one on Friday afternoon before I went up to munchies, to get rid of that stupid sound it was making. Anyway, I got an exhaust hanger (from the plumbing section at mitre 10 mega LOL) 2 1/4". Welded new muffler in and was about to hang it when I looked at the hanger and was like WTF isn't 2 1/4" . Got the tape out measured it , sure enough was 2 1/4. Measured exhaust, found out to be a 2" exhaust. Also, when I put my foot down now its like the muffler is choking the flow and has reduced it alot. I can feel its being restricted, and with a 202, as you all know, I need as much power as I can get!!! |
