Motors sold.

Had about 10 different people interested in it.

Plus side I found a guy who helped do the original build on the Monaro, was his grandfathers, he bought it when he was 14, his brother died 3 years later so he did it up as a memorial to him, sold it in 99 for $21k to a guy in Townsville, went through two different owners then me, ran a best of 12.4 @ 110 when first built, which backs up old mates claim of 12.7 from TSV with wheelspin. Old mate was happy to see it in one piece in good nick, hes going to buy the engine if old mate pulls out.

I was actually quite surprised at the amount of interest, there is literally 5 or 6 guys begging me to sell it to them, first dibs is a guy who lives less than 1km away from me lol.

There are a lot of good bits and pieces on the engine though, I mean the carby, fabricated covers and CVR starter is already over $1k's worth, not to mention $350 worth of brand new mufflers, new rebuilt alternator etc etc.

Hope to hear back about a short block today with a stack of work done to it, fresh build 0km's so hoping everything goes to plane. I'm keen top have it done by start of December (BB conversion, single headlight front and change seats) but as always something will pop up no doubt.

dunno why you are selling the zorst?? a 3 inch twin with hooker muffs is a good setup for a BB. the collectors can be modded to suit your motor too.

Exhaust was 2.5" to two 3" Hookers.

If I wasn't about to buy a house I would, the thought had already crossed my mind to do something like that.

Les rang me today, we spoke about the exhaust, it's all sorted, will be going to him as soon as engine is in for him to plumb up.

Close yeah, I'm supplying mufflers as its easier for me to get them and I prefer these ones, running off the shelf headers, just Hurricanes, apparently Mark is running them with no issues, and still dumping before the diff. All up around the $1350 mark.

I've been put onto a pretty serious bottom end as well, but its a bit more than I want to pay for one so I'm umming and ahhing about that one atm.

This is according to Les they are. He thinks they are a bit of alright, especially if not chasing huge hp at rear tyres.

Bit the bullet and bought this bottom end tonight will post all the specs later

Had a very productive afternoon today and yesterday.

Yesterday, Jay (74QEE) came around and gave me a hand moving my 1928 Fords 4cyl, 201ci engine from my garage to the shed.

Today he came around again out of boredom and i was already halfway through cleaning all the 82 years of slime and shit off it, and as of around 7pm its just about done.

Tomorrow, i will finish and then degrease the shit out of it, then gurny it with our super high pressure gurny and then go over it again, then prime and paint it over the weekend, and maybe if i get a chance will hook up the crashbox to it and put it all into my chassis.

Fuck yes, Hot Rodding rules.

And my car sits in the driveway not going anywhere till I get a new power steering belt as I threw mine (AGAIN) showing off the other day.
I've really got to line it up properly.
