Haha yeah, alot of people have told me that.
I'll take it as it comes and work it out then if I go down that track.
Could combine them both. Would either be a win..... or one of those abortions on ebay haha. :headwall:

The older F100's look sick IMO, i mean the 40's 50's ones.
Theres a red one that is often parked at my gym thats mint as!
But yes i do agree the C10's are pretty cool and you dont see too many rolling around here, theres one that goes down the spit sometimes, but its still in the process of being fixed up by the looks of it aha

I do not switch my liking of cars very often at all? I may have changed my mind a couple times about which car i would like to restore, but that is only because of new found knowledge of each car..

My father and i, are very much different. Never, ever, say we are alike

Haha this is exactly what i do. However have been visiting pre-85 less due to the fact i don't own a car, and also the threads just seem to get worse and worse and nothing new or different rocks up very often.

Lol at the use of the word 'new'.

I just dug up 4 / 8 of my trim rings, 4 of them polished up awesome (obviously the originals from my car) and found four that while they are straight and all, are completely ridden with rust areas.

So i polished up the originals and threw them on the Kingswood, and i duno why i didn't do it 3 years ago when i had the car first on the road. Looks so 1970s pimpin

Any body have a one toner rear window laying around they'd like to sell me?
My new 160ltr 3 phase compressor rolled into it when I loosened one of the ratchet straps off :headwall:

Not too sure if it has to be WB or not as some rear window rubbers suit hq- hz and NOT wb so i'm not sure if the shape is different.

DeadSled
Post #403

I'd assume they are all the same, pretty sure the bodys are all the same for HQ - WB utes both styleside and tonner, with the exception of front end of course and tailights on the stylesides.

Although theres a difference in the cowl i believe, between HQ and the rest.

Rear window SHOULD be the same throughout.

Yeah thats what I was thinking Nick, I just didn't want to buy the wrong one thats all and was hoping maybe someone could shed some light. Internet is full of shit when I googled it.

You know i'd love to buy this, just don't have the room at the moment. With the new compressor, ride on, jet ski taking up the garage, i've got no where to put it. If it sells it just wasn't meant to be. GL with your sale.

ARRRGGGHHH! I wish our shed was up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got a delivery of roadbase shit for under the shed pad today. Just need 3 more to do the driveway. Having a 100m+ driveway sucks.

I've got a garage :P

Will be a while until the BB goes in anyways atm, so more than likely I will pull it out and put it on an engine stand and wrap it if I don't sell it soon.

Plus I'm sure I can do a better price for someone I know :P

why do you need to sell it right now mate?

can't you enjoy driving the old girl for a while before flogging off the motor?

anyhoos... started pulling apart the HQ Wagon for a freshen up today. needs rust repairs and a driveline overhaul.

thinking gold, white roof with stockos and whitewalls, cream interior (bench seat column auto)

dunno what to do about the motor. was thinking about a V6 or maybe a VL (turbo or non?) motor or something... waddayareckon?

I'm thinking of pulling her off the road to do the single headlight front and change the seats anyways so figure I might as well do it all at once to keep the time off the road down.

I'd go 202 if you are going to keep it pretty original, although depends on what you want to do with it I guess?

yer, thought about that, then I though.... hmmm, stuff it. lets get some cheap, economical, reliable power... can't get that with a big block LOL!!

wbtonner
Post #418

^^^
The V6 supercharged motors get good power with a bit of a tickle; front mount, chip, tune etc and still get relatively good fuel consumption.
My dad has one in his company car and averages 11-12L per 100km. Not that great but she goes alright when you need her to.

Looking at that motor and dreaming, seriously contimplating it.

WB,

If you can afford the cash and space, I'd jump on that.

Great price!

Ash,

Keep the old girl OLD SKOOL mate! Forget stuffing around with all that computer crap.

If you wanted it to be a sleeper and haul some serious ass for cheap and weren't adverse to using import engine that would make good bulk power but be ultra reliable, and cause some upset with the "purebred" crowd there's one or two engines that I could suggest..........
