This came up really well! You did an awesome job! I didn't realise it was a wrap until I read the entire post (I only come on here for the pics :Drink:).

How hard is this to apply? Is it similar to tint where you spray the surface with a solution and rub out the air and let it dry?

Some of those areas would've been a bitch (mirrors). Result speaks for itself though!

I didn't think Supply1 sold Avery, only GA Mart and Spandex?

Looks very neat, did you have to do many joins or did you get each panel in 1?

Even though this is a 32 with a 34 front end, it still looks hot all blacked out on lenso's.
Just an idea.

I was thinking of vinyl when I did my s13 Matte Black, but I'm glad I didn't. The texture I got from the cans I used is rather unique.

Yours looks kick ass though. Like it alot.

Thanks!

It is tough to apply, very time consuming and requires a lot of patience and practice, its a lot different to using tint (that said ive never used it myself) but the idea with this vinyl is that it is very conformable, so it stretches heaps, and then using a heat gun you can shrink it again.
This is how you get around corners/curves and all sorts of crazy shapes on the body and other parts.
I haven't tried wet applying it, i do it all dry, but i may give it a go to see if it works well with this particular product.

Well if you're in brisbane, i'd be more than happy to provide the service,

Also, as a hint to what's to come, i also have a few meters of 3M Carbon fibre vinyl sitting at home...

i couldn't tell you without looking at it bud, but id guess no more than 5 - 7 meters, probably less

And for those wondering, The manufacturer gives this up to 10 years out door life in Aus conditions, now my car lives outside (to my dismay) so she is copping the hot, cold, rain and sun all day every day, ill be sure to update with any details of wear, but at this stage (about 2 months in) its still going strong

Thanks bud,

Also to note

I plan on going z-tune style skirts and rear pods, and a v-spec II style front lip
and most likely 18" black drift teks

Looks the goods bud! I looked into this alot about 6 months ago, really wanted to wrap my rx8 matte black! It's huge in Europe! Pretty much all the cannon ball run cars are wrapped and probably 1/2 to 3/4 of the matte black exotics you see on the net are wrapped rather than painted! There is a guy overseas who has a matte black new gtr, the wrapping work on it is insane! If you google matte black gtr pics of it will come up! Good work for actually going out an doing it. I think my rx8 would probably be the meanest looking car on the road in matte black....

I dont like it, but that's because I don't like matte black, the work itself looks great.

Looks awesome mate, now just lower it, tint the windows dark and put some reall nice offsetted rims on it.

Personally I think some Bronze deep concave TE37s would look sensational on it. Black would be too much, white - NO!, and silver wouldn't match the satin black. Id go Bronze TE37s for sure.

Love TE37's, also LMGT4's neither of which i can afford, so its going to most likely be drift teks in black, as personally i love black on black
