a tank for 250k geeze dude i know off a few worked 6's running webbers that better kays out off a tank

at least if you do the bb conversion the diff is normaly strong enough unless your building a blown and injected monster

edit; i just noticed your running a holley.....theres why piss it off and put a ford xe/xf webber on it it'l go better and use a shitload less fuel

I do have the biggest cam I could find for it though haha and pretty good compression, and I do drive a laser during the week so I do like to put my foot down and make some noise whenever I drive it, but yeah I was looking into tripple webers but I bought a jet ski instead.
And if I do get a big block it'll most likely be pretty stock unless I find a good short motor with a nice cam then hunt for a decent set of heads. I know decent small block heads flow at around 500 - 550. What should I be looking for with a bb head? Never really known anyone with one.

mate, 444's are ridiculous!!

get them out of there, you will double your economy and enjoyment of the car.

like has been said, a set of 3.36 or 3.55 would be great in that thing, and would suit when the fatty goes in... the 444's will be way too tall, BB's don't like to rev.

Les from Fat Pipes ran a 10.82 in street trim in his BB HQ coupe with a set of 3.55's tough car that!!

No Need For Gears That High, In Our Camaro We Have 410's In the Arse And She Sits On 3100rpm On The Highway At 100kph, Soo Fuel Efficient Though, Uses Hardly Anything For A 450 Odd Horsepower Motor

Well I finished work quite early today so I thought i'd weld my other muffler in. No drama's doing it, just doesn't exactly sound like i'd hoped. Sounds like a massive bucket of shit!!!
Mega fail :headwall: Will take it for a drive and see if it sounds better driving :( doubt it, but will probably take it to get twins put on next RDO. Decision will be twin 2" or 2 1/4" split at the tri y's.

10.82 IS FUCKING INSANE!

So I got my heads back today all fixed and nice again.

Did an excellent job on them.

Motor will be bolted back together next week, as soon as I move to the new place it will be coming out and will be up for sale.

Gday mate I have had a few 2o2's with the same sort of engine combo your running now and I never got one to sound tough with a 2 and a half inch exhaust , loud yes but they all had a terrible drone to them . silly as it sounds a 2 and a quarter has a better note . What does sound good is a set of x2 exhaust manifolds running twin 2 inch pipes back to a single muffler on each pipe then dumped just behind the diff . And I agree 4.44 diff ratio are not the best unless u are carrying a ton or towing a car trailer around every day , 3.55 or 3.36 ratio's are way more friendly on the street .

^^^Yeah i'm definetly looking into the twin pipes from the extractors back into their own mufflers. I wanted to get twin dumps but the police don't like it and being a one tonner and so open at the back its an easy defect.

If your going the twin system do away with the extractors and get the split X2 manifolds bro bit hard to find but worth the trouble . I have been running a dumped exhaust on the tonner for over 2 years now and been pulled over for inspection more than once and not been black flaged , and yes it makes a wonderful noise .

I do however have P plates so instant target.
And other than exhaust sounding as good as it can be and a tune i'm not going to spend any more money unless I have to on the motor. I'm saving for a V8.

Their value could probably change on a day to day basis depending on how many people are looking for them and how many people are selling them at any given time. If a couple of people REALLY want it, and youre the only one who has it, its worth whatever they are willing to pay to secure it.

Very 80's styling yes, but putting a square styleside style guards on a rounded body?

Delusional at best.

The styleside EJ isnt my cup of tea, but i remember back when that was all the rage!

There was a heap of old H series utes getting around Lismore like that, some were straight out ugly, but one in particular was a bottle green colour owned by the bloke with the local radiator shop, was done very well and looked great!

that ej shows why people shouldnt have sex with family

apart from the bad custom job if the quarters havnt been cut and its not too rusty it wouldnt be a bad start

but at 8k ......he's on drugs and a turbo 700 with a holden 6 :Drink:

800 bucks is better

It's a joke he wants that much.

And a 4000 stall?

It almost reeks of a joke..............

Not to mention burnt out interior, needs painting, etc etc.

Righto so officially bought the start to the big block conversion today.

A set of new heavily ported heads complete with all new gear and a Holley single plain manifold all port matched etc.

Will source a short block as soon as I find about this damn house so I can pull the engine out of the Monaro and sell it off.

Although might bolt current engine all back together, run it in, then pull the engine out at mates place.

WAS going to go get my new exhaust professionally done (well as professional as an exhaust shops does it, so slightly better than me on the piss) tommorrow but now going to the dentist.

So the engine might be up and out for sale a lot sooner than first thought.

Will be carby to sump including full exhaust at this stage.

No idea, might throw her on a rolling road if I get the chance and find out, however I pretty much am thinking of putting it back together and then pulling it all out.

Will leave it in for test drive etc so can see running/driving otherwise will pull her straight out, should only take me hour or two to get it all out.

Thinking now might be the time to pull the front off and the seats out also, do everything at once, sell the wheels off and put the Convo Pros on that I want to put on.

Bloody cars.

but a tilt front bugger its not imposible but man its hard work to get right
