yeh standard 1jz not 1.5j, yeh i would say fastest cressida in qld unless there are some fast ones hiding somewhere that knowone knows about.
car is also standard 1jz gearbox with mv valve body and 4000rpm convertor are the only mods. i think the goal for the car is to get it to about 128mph and closer to 10.5 street tires and pump fuel and that will be about where it stops as my wife still uses the car on a daily basis and dont want to go putting a cage and harnesses in it. then i can get stuck back into my cortina and see if i can get it to run a 9

well my car will be off the road for a couple of weeks again new mt 255's and 5000 rpm take off's dont go to good together lol. not sure yet if its the box again or my clutch but thinking more along the line of clutch with what its doing but f#$k it takes of so much harder now so cant wait to race it again soon with the boost higher.

ill keep it in mind cheers. its a custom 5puk npc clutch. its about 6months old but done bugger all k's so far. normally works really good so im not sure whats rong until i pull it apart. i'm going auto at a later stage but i said if it brakes again im going auto hehehe not yet but im having to much fun with the manual but i just keep braking shit

NPC do very good clutches. if its a fault with the clutch they are usually pretty good with warranty side of things, i sell quite alot of there ctutches. we sold one the other day that is going into a ae86 with 1jz and gt40

it was about $1300 but that included there billet flywheel. is rated to 600rwhp, being that you already have a flywheel would be $900-$1000 i would imagine

sounds like what i have in mine but i got it cheaper then that. i spoke with them today and they seem to think its got hot under heavy load and stuck to the flywheel. so ive gotta get to off somehow and hope thats all hehehe. ill see how i go over the next couple of days and hope thats all it is. thanks for checking anyway dude.

yeh but i want to build my spare auto before injectors go in, so i can go lots of boost and not worry about gearbox as much

yeah broken gearboxs suck hahaha mine is a daily too so it sucks to be off the road but shouldnt be for to long i hope.

well i just got a full leather interior for mine series 2 front bar, lights and gaurds, i just want a gtr front lip get it painted then il be stoked, can't wait to hit the strip

probably a few weeks yet, have to fit another fuel pump and build my gearbox first

well i pulled out my gearbox today and found that my clutch is distroyed broken all 5 pads of and some of it stuck to the pressure plate lol. hope to get that fix during the week and go from there.

well my gearbox has new clutches in it now hopefully support the power, bought complete series two front end gaurds chrome stripping, full tan leather interior (front seats rear seats doors) and found a 32gtr front lip so soon as the cressida is home its getting an extreme make over. sleepycort thats looks awesome looking forward to seeing this beast and every 1 cars, mine isn't far off soon as its rego'd gotta be cruising

my new clutch is back in and working sweet so now just need to get booked in for a final tune.

my gearbox was rooted so new clutches and the converter is also rooted been told if i give the go ahead il have it back in the car end of the week

glad to hear everybody's cars are coming together well

I am still working out why my car takes a heap of cranks to start then splutters like its running on a couple of cylinders for a bit and then idles fine
i get some black crap on the driveway from the exhaust (as a car does when it runs too rich) and a strong fuel smell from the exhaust just after start up

and there is a very intermittent Buzz/vibration noise coming from the oil feed line to the turbo
if i grab it i can feel the buzz through my hand
it is a braided line

any ideas gents?

id say leaking injector/injectors would be the place to look

im not having much luck with this box lol i went to move my car this arvo to only smell gear oil so i had a look and the top shifter housing is leaking out every were and on the tail sharft which has flicked it all under the car hahaha. so i tryed to pull it out to replace the gasget to only find out that i gotta drop the cross member maybe tailsharft and what ever wants to get in the way but i still love the thing hehehe.

hows everyones cars??? im finaly driving mine again after waiting for a shifter housing gasget to come from japan as there was none in aus then got that in and running again to find out the rear seal on the box was leaking lol so thats all good again. now just time for a look over the car again and hope to get a new tune next week or 2.

mine overheated just two days ago, due to the thermo fans stopped working.
coilpacks melted, they have been replaced. Car was able to be started again. Minimal smoke is coming out of the exhaust
so might of done a headgasket.

Now fuel pump wont prime. But the fuel pump does work, (Fuse, tachometric relay, wiring issue)

Battery is low at the moment so thats charging and my windows arent working now either.

When it rains, it farkin rains with cars.

Where the hell is peoples fuses or relays for the power windows. Mainly for the MX73's? I know where there are fuses in the drivers kick panel. But doesnt mention anything about windows.


So at the moment, not too well with my car. But all started due to the stupid fans
