QR arvo sprint on the 19th June should be perfect for racing sorry sprinting. Catch up then Dave about your seat. Cheers Paul I'll probably be purchasing in the next couple days. I noticed in my sent folder I sent you a blank PM too ![]() Any recommendations for places to get the mod plating done? I'll only be out to watch on the 19th; I'd much rather save my tyres due to the potential safety equipment buying going on. |

I'm aiming for the 24th at Lakeside otherwise QR 23rd would be good, don't know why they jam all the Lakeside and QR days together ![]() Yeh makes it hard to do them both when they are back to back. We are looking for numbers for our day at Willowbank park, so if anybody is keen to have a run get on board as soon as you can. At this stage I need 16 cars to make it happen even as an experience / training day. 26 to make it a full competition day. Ferris is going to come and make himself available for those who want some tuition on the day. Cheers Jeff http://wwwtrackattack.com.au/dirtsprints |

We found a guy in Fairfield/w'gabba who looked after us for the right price for a cage/seat. Will dig up his name/address for you Genuine Mechanical Repairs at Fairfield! 0412277087 Cheers for that. Friendly bloke; was unable to give me a quote for the work (understandably beign sight unseen) but did point out an issue I had over looked; which was how the buckle is mounted to the factory seat, so I'd have to relocate that buckle, which would require another mod plate. So I'd require two mod plates, one for the seat belt modification and the seat modification. I'll go ahead and order the stuff, see what quotes I can get once I have the gear; I can always swap the seat for events, then swap it back as it'll only be the four bolts and a bit of lumbar muscle involved. |

Collected my new seat, ordered the rails; now to sort out the harness. I was originally thinking or getting a Simpson harness but thought I'd see what local companies had to offer instead. Revolution Racegear carry the RPM range (even though they are owned by a South African). Any issues with this RPM harness? I'd have to buy the quick release clips seperatly also. |

don't buy SFI standard. 2 yrs from manufacture is ridiculous. Any 2" harness has no life limitations, and FIA spec 3" harnesses are good for 10yrs from manufacture now. GSL Rallysport for great prices. http://www.gslrallysport.com/shop/ |

Im booked and paid for SAS on the 19th, first time out in the Evo 9 since Ive done rear Whiteline swaybar, coilovers, race brake fluid and Project MU pads, aiming for that elusive 59.99 on standard tyres............. If you can't I'll have a shot at it ![]() On a more serious note; Just waiting for the parts to turn up to finish the Rolla, I might come out to QR as the next LAS isn't for a while. |

If you can't I'll have a shot at it ![]() Likewise. If you can do a 60 or less at Lakeside then it's possible on the Sprint layout Edit: Harry, I got the seat from GSL the other day, nice bloke to deal with. Looking around it seems I can only find Sparco harnesses that are FIA standard, all the rest appear to be SFI. |

Yeh I reckon Lakeside is made for AWD yet their times are ordinary from what I've seen ![]() The amount of Evo's that have tangoed with the walls says otherwise. |

nah, AWD is a traction advantage. ie power down out of corners. AWD is better suited to low speed corners that you have to accellerate out of rather than fast flowing corners. Of course there are still a couple of places at Lakeside where more traction is handy, but not nearly so much as slower tracks. |

Yeh I reckon Lakeside is made for AWD yet their times are ordinary from what I've seen ![]() I prefer to think of the AWDs as having some slight understeer, thus giving them a little bit of prowess of the front wheelers around Lakeside. But as Harry says the track is all medium to high speed corners. I guess under the bridge the AWD would have a bit of an advantage over the RWD keeping the rear in check? |
