Ordinarily I'd say yes, but doubt my gearbox is going to survive this weekend. hurt 4th beating that GT3 last time and she's pretty crunchy now. I'd say it will be an early afternoon for me. plan is to go hard early and try to get a time in the bag before she lets go...

Jeff, I'm waiting for this weather to clear up, I can't even work on the car when it is like this because I have lost my shed space for the moment tongue.gif

good to see the sun come out. I spent the afternoon putting much stiffer springs in to try and lean on these slicks a bit harder. If its wet its going to be fairly horrible!

Not a bad day out, conditions were perfect in the first session! A couple pb's were SMASHED! Good stuff Harry.

Headwind towards the end of the day was killing my top speed up the straight sad.gif

haha! I don't know what happened with the timing in the first session mate, but I ran a 58.9 later so I knocked another 4 tenths off the PB this time. Quite a few people ran PBs yesterday too in the nice cool conditions

Car felt heaps better with the new suspension setup. Much better balanced - no real understeer except for the middle of Carousel. I struggled there all day to be honest. Ended up messing around with left foot braking there and the Eastern Loop.

The standard viscous LSD is getting a bit ordinary now as you'll see in the video, so there's probably a few tenths in a better diff. I might give the cheapo shimming trick a go first.

Here's the in-car from my best run behind Rob's CME60 Evo.

It was a great day, joined the PB mob smile.gif Will have to try following you fast blokes instead of having cheap fun passing people at the back, no incar as the camcorder is still playing up.

Mixed day for me on Sunday hurt the Falcons gearbox in the 2rd session of the day so had to take it a little easy so it would last the day out but until then the thing was singing with the new tune (Thanks Real Dyno Performance)
Got a flat in my Excel on the first lap of the 2rd session so it was done for the day.
Big break now til the next sprint more updates to come.
Cheers Paul

Some nice wheel work, but I think I had it more sideways than that the other week mamoru.gif

The EVO and your car looked like they used the track well through Hungry when I was taking photos. The EVO looked pretty planted at corner entry to apex, while you looked strong through the apex to exit. Not sure if you thought otherwise while following it.

Also, I've been told that QR need some more volunteer marshals, they are really struggling for numbers. If competitor brings along an entourage maybe they could help out at a flag point?

you certainly did! I don't think I want that much sideways... And certainly not where you had it!!!

this video from the 2nd session gives a closer look at the back of the EVO.

I feel like I'm just a little faster from the bridge to the entry of eastern loop. I don't think Rob quite holds it flat under the bridge, and I carry a few more kph through Hungry I think. Apart from that the rest of the lap is pretty much even-stevens (if you ignore the first lap when my tyres aren't up to temp)

Whatever happened to getting a 5th session if there was time?

Seems packing up at 2:30 because everyone's done the 4th run is a bit cheap of QR?

Our first foray into a dusty event is Sunday the 27th of June at Willowbank Park Raceway. The track has a very smooth compacted surface and is suitable for road cars and many race cars.

Early bird price is only $90 for a whole day of sprints - Enter Here ! - www.trackattack.com.au/dirtsprints

I'll express my interest in that dirt stuff Jeff, but I can't enter until I have ensured I haven't smeared the Skyline over Townsville's scenery in next week's tarmac rally wink.gif

That looks to be the 5th session, 4x4+1=17. Assuming my maths is right the fourth session would be P1/13.

Cheers for the effort though.

Looks like your new wheel alignment setting is working well for you Paul. thumbsup.gif

Might want to speak to Sean Rose at Strathpine Wrecking regarding Falcon Gearbox mods.

A big gap between events now that we are in the best weather conditions to be out there.
QR should hold the whole season over winter tongue.gif
