ADVAN's A048 or AO50 are where it's at happy.gif

48's are not even in the same class as 50's or indeed Dunlop O3G's.

Indeed.

The A050's are suppose to have resloved a lot of the short falls of the A048. A race mate of mine has tried both and just by changing to the A050's it was almost enough to bridge the time difference between our two cars even thou my mechanical setup was more improved.

Haven't heard a bad report from the Dunlops either.

Anyone know the cost difference ?

The Yoki's are even more expensive than the Dunlops. Both are outrageously priced. In my humble opinion.
I do love them though.

Dunlop pricing is currently being updated....

I love the Soft Dunlops for hillclimb etc and generally suggest them where performance is the main concern
The Kumho is probably the Semi of choice for the budget conscious.
Haven't tried the Yoko 50's but no one is complaining about them, very good feedback so far.

I have some new Federal FZ201 Semi's in a Medium compound that are well placed to suit rally and circuit work.

We only ever needed to run 15's so pricing wasn't too bad tongue.gif

I have a bunch of slicks heading to me, and I may have found a good supplier of "used" race rubber. Slicks/wets/R comps.

Email me at [email protected] if you have any particualr requests. Make you questions and requests succinct and easy to deal with though please, I'm not doing this for profit. smile.gif

Hey buddy! For sure...

Next test session for the S14a will be doing alot of tyre testing. Planning on trying a few new things, and will ahve pyrometer etc for testing temps at different places on tires. Can certainly help with tires pressures etc with you!

Planning on more lakeside stuff once the s14 gets tuned!

Building a new drift car this week for the up coming round of Stadium Drift, so things are a little hectic. S14 is now basically time attack only

Testing, slicks, trailer queens, data logging I suppose. This makes me feel a lot better if I trail you blokes by only a few seconds now, taking the moral high ground, feeling pure and righteous tongue.gif

from the bloke with Proflex suspension importing tyres from the states! lol

Dave was the quickest, followed by zuboo and myself with a 1.01.80. The other car out still requires a bit of setup, but has huge potential

Was only a small test day. My day ended early with what seems to be a blown Headgasket. I was hoping to get the starlet out on the 16th too but It doesnt look promising atm.

bunp. This thread is a little quiet.
Looking through the results for the Lakeside open sprints and road 8 looks like a very easy class this year (might have to put another 4 cylinders in the car to move up soem classes), and road 6 has one quick car. Seems everyone has jumped into Track Attack?

HRD-GTR
Post #105

I'm back out at Lakeside again this Sunday with Track Attack. Hoping to go a bit quicker in the cooler conditions if the gearbox holds up... Also made a big change to spring rates to try and suit the new rubber, so fingers crossed that works.
