Neither is adding a pod and stripping out the interiors anyway, and roll cages????? Sounds to me like most of the current cars don't meet the essence of the original idea. Without looking at the ARDs I can't comment on the removel of the dash but there are a few cars that just don't have a dash just an instrument cluster. it's illegal to remove the dash. stripped is fine, just no sharp edges. cage is legal if bolt in, or welded with backing plates bolted in. ours is being mod plated as we speak @marlin, come grab a shitter and join in We got our complete TCO spreadsheet if u wanna have a look at it. (and I liked your idea, basically what me and 2 other mates have done with this) when the time comes we'll look at running another car |

What do you reckon about these Toyo's QUOTE Toyo Australia introduces the PROXES R1R, an Ultra High Performance flagship tyre for extreme performance. The Proxes R1R provides maximum traction in both wet and dry weather for car enthusiasts who desire ultimate performance.
Featuring an aggressive arrowhead tread pattern that not only looks good, it is also excellent for water drainage and wet performance. The Proxes R1R’s extra wide footprint, low profile design and increase in the contact patch area delivers both superior handling and a clean and stunning look. Utilising Toyo’s cutting edge computer design technology (T-Mode), the Proxes R1R is designed to provide exceptional grip. The Proxes R1R also features a rim protector on the sidewall to keep “bling” wheels from unwanted curb damages |

hey jeff, certainly interested on the proxes! had been overlooking them due to not being approved previously... would only be looking at them after i found 15" wheels first though. The Wholesaler is talking to Toyo to see what can be worked out. They look like a top quality road tyre, lets hope the price is OK. for 15" wheels I am going to look at buying a set of Silvia wheels If I can make it work I have a supply of them available. |

like how hard? can it be worse than what we have gone through to make the car road worthy ?? If your car is Aust complied I would say definately not worth it mate. I've been down that road and I can tell you it will cost about $1000 per year in permits to maintain it, PLUS you have to prove you have competed (annually) in a high end CAMS affiliated event and maintain a minimum of CAMS National Rally level. Also be prepared to explain yourself at length every time you get dobbed in and pulled over for having "Forklift" plates on your car, yes, the same plates for both fork and cars Prob best to do what I did with my Skyline, and spend a few hundred on getting everything you can mod plated. |

I think the Proxies R1R will be too soft for the budget racer, I got quoted today the T1R $145 or for the KU36 $95 in a 195/50/15 I think the Kumho will be the best value for money I thought the Khumo was $150 ? sounds cheap, where are they coming from ? |

why dont we all run the same tire??maybe not right now because of people tht may have just recently bought a new set but next season or something? that is going to be the fairest way of doing it...work out this season what the best "value for money" tire, if you would like to call it actually is, try and get a good deal on it and keep everyone even and happy?? |

I think you're being a bit dramatic here mate....as far as I can see one bloke was unhappy about the dash rule but as stated above for $50 that's easily fixed. Most of the other stuff has just been a throw around of ideas and opinions. |

as far as I can see one bloke was unhappy about the dash rule but as stated above for $50 that's easily fixed. I was the one questioning the dash rule as I was under the impression that the dash could be removed as I had seen a few at LS without the dash. Mine was stuffed so I threw it out, and now it seem I need to replace it. Jeff do you know if this price applies to X2 dash's as well? If so, problem solved |
