Great day out, good to see a mob of excels out for the series. Certainly a great way to have some fun in a cheap track car.

The car scene is alive and well, it's just not thriving at the locations where the ignorant dwell.

Cool photos, thanks for sharing; it looks like terrific fun without breaking the bank.

Seems to be a fair amount of negativity about this class, but I cannot understand why? If you're keen to go racing, but have very little or no track experience, then this is a great way to test the water and gain some skills.

Gemini racing was always like this until many of the spare parts dried up and it became somewhat more expensive. One make classes generally always have close racing, I hope this takes off, I think it will be cool to watch.

    Cheers

You are right about the negativity but a 67 around Lakeside will put rest to that, so the knocker can see if they can even come close to these little rockets.

I agree 100% looks like awesome fun, and with everyone in similar cars it means it's really testing your driving skills not money skills smile.gif

67 is a fantastic time considering what they are running in, a lot of people would be happy to get those sorts of times.

its funny how quick they are.
I took an absolutely stock Excel out there (the white one that looks like a girls car) with 300'000 k's on the clock
and what I reckon were original shocks and springs and tyres that were so hard it wasnt funny and ran a low 72.
the quick guys are running 67's, I reckon 66 wont be far away ohmy.gif
